When I was a kid, my dad was extra af with making sure I believe in Santa. Every year I would write a letter to Santa, my dad would pretend to send it, and a week or two later I would get a reply letter from Santa. My dad make custom Santa Claus return address labels, and office of Santa Claus stationary that he would type it out on. He made it look official af, and wrote the reply letter completely in rhyme.

Actually, Santa is partially based off of Odin, its not just something thats done in the comics. The concept of Santa flying around in a sleigh is based off of Odin's war sleigh, which was pulled my an eight legged horse named Sleipnir. The idea of leaving snacks out is also based off Odin, in that children would leave boots full of hay and carrots out for a hungry Sleipnir and in return there would be presents in the boots in the morning.
