what do you do when you cant factor by grouping, in the case its prime?

If it’s prime, it means at a minimum that it can’t be factored by this method. At most, it can’t be factored at all.

I laughed so hard at the “I’m an optimist so i always lead with the positive sign” my family came running because I’ve literally been in tears for the last 3 months every time I do my algebra, they felt i was just messing around while they toiled away at cooking dinner for us. I LAUGHED doing math!!!

I have youtube'd numerous math videos when I am having trouble in college because my teacher goes fast. These Fort Bend videos are the ONLY ones who show you step-by-step. For example. I had forgotten how to factor by grouping. When pulling out the GCF, I forgot you had to divide..Not one other video explained that is why how you got the expression in the parenthesis. Please dont stop making these videos!

I believe your need is to learn prime numbers. Both prime and composite numbers are infinite, but a great practical use of prime numbers is to know all of the prime numbers that are less than 100 (there are just 25 prime numbers less than 100). You can drill yourself through repeatedly writing them down or commit to finding the prime factorization of a bunch of composite numbers, let's say from 4 - 1,000. After doing that, you should have a good handle on prime numbers. Good luck!

what about grouping of 5terms such as -xsquare+4xsquare+2xy-2ysquare-12y,showing the values of x$y which maximise zand also show that it occurs when z=20
