I wanna thank you for all your videos man.. they helped me a lot in the last 2 almost 3 years with my stang.. but with some unfortunate news I ended up spinning out and totaling my 2000 Mustang GT on Sunday.. but will definitely be using your videos for the rebuild in the near future

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Thank you and I am ok yes, only thing not damaged on the car was the engine and trans along with the whole body and frame (minus both front fenders buckling up some in spots, and both bumpers) I kinda wanna make videos on the whole rebuild but kinda wanna keep the come back process a secret to everyone local who says I can’t do it

Thank you for your video. I was struggling on the passenger side manifold to remove that nut. I was able to get it off using your method. Now I am trying to replace the manifold studs. Needless to say when I’m done I should have no more exhaust leak.

if your universal for the socket is too sloppy, just put a couple wraps of electrical tape on them, keeps them flexible, but can guide them way easier!

I have a 97 gt, needs a starter I think. Have an xpipe I’m modifying and putting on with mil eliminators. Thank you so much, this looks like a job

Its better to get it on ramps if possible on front and rear wheels too. Thats how i do it every two years before cali smog check time. More room to work with and safer

Do you just go with an offroad pipe? Also do you use mil elimanators or just leave it? I live in illinois and I was thinking of just taking them off and putting them back on when emissions comes around.

Use Spark plug antifoulers on the downstream o2 sensors, to get rid of CEL.

How would you go about fixing an exhaust leak at the first cat on passenger side? Its on one of the welds and the heat shield is in the way...im thinking about taking it to someone who can weld...they can cut out the heat shield top to get access to weld a patch and then they can weld the heat shield back together

I would remove the pipe and take it somewhere. They can put smoke into it to see where it leaks and fix it

Hey Danny I have a 1999 mustang gt my passenger side mid pipe doesn’t have the studs , do you happen to know the size and actual required hardware as well as the best way to put it on ?

Are they all cats ? I’ve heard that 2 of them are resonators. But idk 🤷

tried this method on the passenger side bolts. got one of them and the other won’t budge. drenched in pb blaster and torch gun. already snapped 2 u joints into pieces. what do i do?

Try tightening slightly and then loosen over and over again to help break it loose

No, it’s a ball and cup design. But aftermarket kits often have a smaller coller baffel so keep an eye out that it’s not missing

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage⁠ Thank’s for getting back to me. I apologize for my delayed response. My KZfaq notifications are unreliable. I have a 2000 GT with stock cats. ~23/24 years old cats. I'm getting terrible gas mileage and the car doesn't seem to have the power it used to, so I'm thinking it might be time to change the cats. I found a Flowmaster H-Pipe with cats online for around $900. I'm hoping this will fix my power issue. Did you install an X-pipe on this car? If so, did you notice any changes in power or gas mileage?

Your not supposed to put a jack stand or jack your car up on the uni body frame rail Supposed to use pinch welds for that some one did that to my gt before I bought it an the floor is pushed up on driver side where the rail is it cost me time an money on the frame machine to make it right yours look like a wet noodle 😂

It actually shows the frame rail as a lift point right in the manual. Pinch weld should only be used with the spare tire jack. They crush a lot more easily kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o7GpZNV_t7ixgp8.htmlsi=CRE_GfsMhR6X88Y7
