This show was and still is my all time favourite show, I wish there had been more episodes of it, the four main stars were so great together giving the right amount of romance, comedy and action. I’ve been a fan for over 50 years and still watch regularly

McMillan and Wife were part of the NBC Mystery Movie rotating along with Columbo and McCloud. All three were great entertainment. SSJ was great in Love At First Bite.

You couldn’t have any without the other. The driving scene was amusing. While cars appear to be going by on the right, a parked car doesn’t change on the left…it’s actually a tribute to the acting that this wasn’t noticed back then.

One thing I never understood - Sally was pregnant in Season One and it was acknowledged, but no mention was made of a baby being born. In a later season (Season 4?), Sally is pregnant again and this time she gives birth, and the baby is usually mentioned as being asleep upstairs. There is only mention of this one baby, never the first one. Why didn't they follow through on the pregnancy in Season One?

What is also weird was in season because of contract dispute, Sally was written out of the show. Saying she and the baby died in a plan crash. So season 6 became McMillian.

Loved them all. Wish they could have used Nancy Walker more. A couple of show were about her. Wish they followed the series better. One show loved golf another hated it. Pregnant in season one then forgotten. Pregnant in season 4. Had a boy, never heard name and never saw. Season 5 kid gone. Season 6 footnote Sally and baby died in plane crash. Still love it today!

They both got along. Some of her Bohemian lifestyle irritated him but they still had a good time making the show. She has often said she “fell in love with him” while doing the show

McMillan was best with Susan St. James & excentric Mildred, Nancy Walker.💛😜😇 I didn't care for the McMillan show with Rock hudson being a widower. His character moved too fast into romancer mode.

I thought it was super fast as well. Way too fast for how he and Susan /Sally were so much in love. Didn't make sense.
