Monic McNutt left out the part that the CHICAGO SKY have been in the Playoffs the last 7 seasons, the INDIANA FEVER have not qualified in the WNBA Playoffs the last 7 seasons. So REECE landed in a team with a multiple winning seasons, CAITLIN landed in one that almost a decade, has had an 85% losing season so REECE is not carrying the SKY but CLARK is carrying the FEVER. Also, 90% of REECEs rebounds are her own from the multiple missed shots.

ESPN is a joke. Look at how many records Clark has broken and we’re 1/2 way through the season. Let’s see how Chicago does in the next 4 games in 8 days.

The year that Caitlin is having as a rookie only magic johnson and oscar robertson have done. No WNBA rookie, 2nd year, 3rd year player has ever averaged 16, 6, 7+ points, rebounds, assists per game. Thats it 2. Her season is so historic you have to go to the NBA for a comparison.

The Sky has a couple of games coming up, July 7th the Storm #4 (Lost Big), July 11th against the Liberty #1, July 13 against the Liberty #1, and July 16th the Aces #5 - these two teams and players have something to prove and I doubt that Reese will see as much free space as she has been seeing, in particular the Storm game. It will be interesting to see if Reese is really the Dawg, or is put in the dog house by these teams and players so it will also be interesting what her numbers look like after she is finally closed down. We already know how Clark stacks up against these teams and their top-ranked players and it will be interesting to see if Reese can match Clark my bet is that Like the last Storm game, Reese and the SKY crash, and Reese ends her ROTY Award run

You did get one stat wrong. You said Reese has more rebounds and block shots than Caitlin. Caitlin has 17 block shots and Reese has 7. 7 blocks by Reese shows defense is not a priority for her. All she care about is blocking out and getting the rebound. CC is No. 16 in the league in block shots. Reese is No 42 in block shots.

The choice is between a shooter who is an assist magician versus a rebounder who makes most of her shots in the paint near the basket. Boring.

AGREED! She almost had 2 other triple doubles before the recorded one - 1 was only 1 rebound away...and that was against DT and BG and at least 1 other Olympian. Caitlin broke Sabrina Ionescu's record playing against her on the court. It took Caitlin 8 fewer games to meet that record (350+ points, 150+ assists, 120+ rebounds in 22 games). Caitlin has been getting "Fastest rookie in the WNBA" records the entire season...now the first rookie triple double. Happy for Reese getting the record for consecutive double doubles, but Caitlin has set a lot more WNBA records than Reese, and positively impacts her team in more ways than Reese does. ESPN has traditionally not given Indiana teams credit for what they do, so of course they'll promote Reese more. ESPN usually favors big market teams overall.

It is sickening how they make this a black-and-white thing, not the statistic between them.

Shot clock mutes the double-double accomplishment somewhat, bigs ought to have that stat line. As for Clarks turnovers, how many were actually caused by the receiver and not the passer? Just as how many REBS were Reeses own put backs? All that would make a clearer picture of the two.

Shoveling shit, that's all ESPN does. The reality is Clark has had the biggest impact as a player. She's 16th in the league on scoring and averages as a Rookie. Her numbers are impressive to say the least. Plus the fact she's just 6 foot and only behind Reese in rebounds. Reese should be proud of what she's accomplished and her future in the league is bright, but she is not close to Caitlins skill level. Reese needs to work on her dribbling skills, team leadership and court IQ. Who ever puts in the second best as ROTY. Clark is an all around producer, she makes the tougher shots, she's running the offense and she's out scoring most anyone who's ever played, reaching 300 - 100 -100 the fastest in WNBA history. The only Rookie to ever have a Triple double.The WNBA has been blessed with an outstanding Rookie class this year. It can only bode well for the WNBA as a whole.

There are currently 130 double doubles with points and rebounds. There are only 19 double doubles with points and assists. Last season, the league put up over 400 double doubles with points/rebounds. Sorry, but "consecutive" double doubles with points and rebounds, isn't a stat anybody really cares about. "First Take" on ESPN though, has been backing Caitlin Clark every time I've seen it. Even Stephen A Smith went off on their WNBA analysts on multiple occasions. Same with Shannon Sharp. So it's not all "woke ESPN" that's doing it. It's just the Women. Which makes this entire thing even more ridiculous. Nobody brings women down more than other women.
