Been working on this new track from one of my bands "Primacy". Bit rough, but yeah... Recently changed sections to double time, and added a bunch of fills to make it a bit more challenging. We haven't finalized the entire track and vocals have yet to be written... so it is in its infancy still. Ran through it 3 or 4 times today, and on this final take I almost nailed it. People don't realize the hours of rehearsal that goes on behind the scenes with bands and musicians - people just think they walk on stage and play the songs. One of my weaknesses is tempo, so I need to rehearse regularly to keep this in check. One of the ways I do this is by playing to programmed drum versions of all the tracks I play in bands. If you play it often enough, the tempo sinks in and you become more consistent. Hopefully :) Haven't uploaded anything in a long time, since I hurt my ankle basically... so I thought I might put something up to maybe stir the enthusiasm within myself to do it more in the future.
