When I came to live in Mexico I discovered that most adults live with their parents. This is the norm here.

In India and parts of China even after you marry you don’t move out. The wife becomes part of the family and stays with them. Usually the oldest son is the one that’s supposed to do this.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with that. It saves money, and as long as you and your parents are fine living together, there shouldn't be a problem. In fact, in many cultures, living with family is the norm.

This movie was hilarious! There was some off the wall dark and absurd humor, but somehow it all worked. A great double feature with Silver Lining's Playbook.

I have a high school friend, 36 years old now. He has been sleeping on the same spring twin mattress since he was a teenager, he still lives at home with his mother, doesn't help with mortgage or bills, still eats taco bell and wawa all the time, doesn't exercise and works ubering only 15 hours a week. Says he is in debt so he doesn't move. His brother also lives with him, his brother is also freeloading and a drug addict. My 36 year old friend is content. I'm sure his mother is not. There needs to be a camp for these kinds of people to learn hardship and survivability.

If you haven't seen "tanguy" go for it It's french and hilarious (it has like 10y now but still) And it's basically a 30 yo something that his parents want out There is just not the cheesy romantic part

@JackDaRipper yeah but it's understandable now right? this movie came out in 2006 times were great back then, this was before the housing crisis/recession of 2008, and now Global pandemic where people are unemployed left and right. in today's version his parents would love for him to come back and do groceries for them.

@@FGame2star, I don't think it is understandable even now. You can still rent! I don't consider a 30-year-old guy an actual man, if he still lives with his parents (unless it is a temporary thing), he is just a boy.

@@veronicaivanova true, should be temporary or the guy should have some goals in mind if he's going to do it. But if you're unemployed, have accruing bills, and your parents are close by and could use the help, why not live with them for a little bit?

This is the second movie he has played in where's he had a plan and he's dated a girl who has a plan. The first one was How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days when Kate Hudson played Andie and she had a plan. But both Andie played by Kate Hudson and Benjamin played by Matthew McConaughey also Paula played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Tripp played by Matthew McConaughey. In both movies and in both of the relationships they find each other's plan out. But at the end the girl wants to move to a different state because of she did to him. But at the end of both movies they pretend like nothing ever happened and they get back together.

In some cultures people don’t move out of the family home till they get married , but they atleast chip around the house and help pay some bills. How this trailer is going it shows he doesn’t help around the house and that the parents enabled him (I am gonna assume the mom mostly) and the dad got tired n now want to do something about it now that his son is older. To late on that now.
