Erza always has the "telekinetic" power. She uses it even in her first introduced armor. She can basically summon and throw multiple swords as projectiles without her actually holding them. If I'm not mistaken, she can control anything she could consider as weapon. (Even the likes of Shovel lol). And what happened to Jose? His life energy was sucked away from him. That's why his hair turned white. He literally aged. Makarov chose not to "kill" him.

So about Lucy..she didn't hate her family first besides, her family is really lovely, Lucy's mother was so kind, thoughtful, determined, every good aspect just for her..Her father wasn't as good as her mother but at least better than what he is now...but everything changed when Lucy's mother died...you will get to know about Lucy and her family stories in the next episode which you guys already reacted to on Patreon and on episode 50 or 51 i guess and the filler arc (key of the starry sky) on episode 125-150 which you have to watch..in anime community, Canon is when anime follows what's shown in the manga but if something isn't shown in the manga but it's in anime isn't considered as canon...but for this case.. whatever Hiro potrays is canon be it movie or filler..since the filler arc he made would be mentioned later in the main plot, as the filler arc affects the main story itself.. i still remember in of the author's interview more than a decade ago..he said he felt Lucy didn't get much scene, story as he expected despite she is the female protagonist so he made the arc but just for the anime since he didn't have time to draw the manga...but it doesn't matter know since the filler arc has become canon OFFICIALLY in the sequel 100 years quest.. There are 3 Fairy Tail legendary spells; Fairy Law, Fairy Glitter and Fairy Sphere (i hope i wouldn't spoil that much just by telling the name) which were created by the first master (only fairy law wasn't created by the first master since they learnt it from someone else)... Fairy Law just like it was stated in this episode a spell which target anyone/anything that the caster sees as enemy..so not even dust, leaves, rubble, anything in between would get affected... fairy law supposed to destroy the enemy to nothing but maybe Makarov had a soft heart he didn't kill Jose.. I wouldn't explain for the other two..just wait for the episodes Ok the reason for why the magic circle disappeared was because of the change of the animation studio.. fairy tail is produced by A1 picture and Satelight (assistant studio), as what you are watching now despite the artstyle and graphic aren't that great but still considered as decent given that the year and the technology for that time..but the significant thing is the battle choreography and animation were sick..but the during the second part of Grand Magic Game arc (basically a tournament arc) the studio changes to A1 picture, Bridge.. that when many things changed as well, despite the graphic, artstyle have been improved given that the technology, workers also have been improved as well, they removed the magic circle, battle choreography..so many censorship when the manga was pretty brutal, badass..etc..and it get worse when they changed the studio again during the final season to A1 picture, cloverwork.. Note that Element Four is only equivalent of literally one S Class of Fairytail. ERZA alone can win against all Four. That's why I always laugh when I hear Jose brag that they are the strongest when Erza can basically defeat every member he's so proud of. Edit: And its not just Erza specifically. Makarov could bet any of his S Class to fight 1V4 and he would win. Even Mirajane on her active days could win.

1) Natsu is that strong. He's been in the guild about 10 years by the start of the series. Lucy in comparison is The Newcomer; we learn about the guild and the setting's specifics as she does. 2) Phantom Lord was a light/legal guild as opposed to Eisenwald, and they were popular/strong. But Jose's desire to get one over on Fairy amd his specific hate-on for Makarov is his undoing. He could have just left them alone and been happy with what power amd prestige he already had.

13:15 Nah, nah its not that their powers grew past it, it's more like the anime staff kinda got lazy with those, especially as artstyle changed around. Manga barely ever uses magic circles - as they commonly were used as something to be reused to save work on animations in the anime, but something that would be hard to draw every time. So as the artstyle starts to follow manga more closely - they slowly stop using those. We will still get some occasional ones.
