In this video, I visit Fairystone State Park, Goose Point Park and the Fairystone Hunt Site in Patrick County, VA. Both Fairystone State Park and Goose Point Park have a Virginia State Park fee, camping, a beach, hiking, etc. Fairystone State Park has more amenities including a Gift Shop, Visitor Center, Conference Center, Beach house, Cabins and Yurts. Goose Point Park is more secluded as you wind your way for 5 miles the the Wildlife Management of Fairystone Park. Goose Point Park is really beautiful and peaceful with RV campsites, a small beach, amphitheater and a boat ramp. The Fairystone Hunt Site is free and an easy walk through the woods. I really enjoy coming back here! The trees and their roots systems fascinate me. When there is a heavy rain, the lowest part of the path becomes a stream. After the rain, it washes away dirt exposing new staurolite (fairy stones). I found a super cool one with a cross on both sides!?! Please don't dig here! It is not necessary. Just stop, look at the loose small rocks/stones. Look at any that have sharp edges and pick them up.
