I still like the faital pro 3 mins in because it has more depth. In the end, the highs would be played by a tweeter so I don't need my midrange speaker playing it. I shall continue listening to see if I change my mind Edit: I still prefer the faital pro. But I understand your point. That's why we use compression drivers here in the caribbean to compensate since we use alot of pro audio speakers. Keep the vids coming!

Nowadays, Ive see a lot of people running mid bass with compresion drivers instead of working a way arround a nice 3 way systems. You can really do well with compression drivers but sometimes if the midbass doesnt have a really extended frequency, there will always a gap between the transition of the drivers.

@@edalvarado6274 That is very true but what I can tell you as a sound technician is that faital pro is one of the few companies that midbass drivers have a great extension into the midbass and upper midrange/lower treble range, which allows you to run them with a compression driver and a nice subwoofer. Those purely midrange drivers normally can't play well below 150hz and most subs(for car) stop at like 80hz so there again we see a gap which is why I prefer midbass ddrivers because it gives that extension below which allows me to have a flatter response and quality sound. That's how we do it in Guyana. We either do 4 way systems to get dedicated midbass or use a good midbass driver for mids/midbass

@@shemarwilliam4369 I really like the sound of Faital Pro, Mike knows that I was asking for the 6" and 8" models. I enjoy a nice tight midbass and the faital pro have a low fs (80hz on the 8" model) which allows for a more natural sound. That is the ferrite model, I have never heard the 8PR200 bu based on the specs it has to be a beast! Greetings for PR!

i don't like the faital pro speaker american bass easily won imo and imma tell you why the faital pro speaker goes to low its frequency response is 60 to 5,000 Hz 60hz is to low causing it to distort at low volumes and have muddy vocals and a midrange speaker is mostly for vocals the american bass has clear vocals you could clearly hear on video becuase the frequency response is 110 - 6000 Hz big difference and A tweeter or treble speaker is a special type of loudspeaker (usually dome or horn-type) that is designed to produce high audio frequencies, typically from around 2,000 Hz to20,000 Hz (generally considered to be the upper limit of human hearing). Specialty tweeters can deliver high frequencies up to 100 kHz. 2,000 to 20,000 hz would fit the american bass speaker pretty good unlike the faital pro speaker imo judging on sound mostly.

@@blownvoicecoil124 I get what you're trying to say but I'm a sound engineer and I work on both cars and pro audio systems. I've dealt with designs from JBL, Crown, QSC and even Danley Sounds. They use reputable brand like Faital pro, especially Danley. Which means it all draws down to appliction. The FE200 line is a Midbass line of speakers and not a midrange hence why it has a low response into the midbass range (hence why the TS parameters requires it to be in a large ported box) and it would put it at a disadvantage but yet it keeps up. As someone who personally prefers quality sound, I would use the 8fe over the american bass to avoid beaming (a situation where the normal dispersion charatceristics of the driver breakdown and higher frequencies start projecting in a straight line rather than the sound field), play it lower so the crossover points don't have a gap which would not result in musical content being missed. Most persons cross over speakers with gaps, I've seen it so many times in my years of Audio. But Like I normally say in every comment, everyone has their own taste so to each their own.

So the overall sound I'd go with the American bass but if I'm looking for a good speaker that has a wide mid spectrum I'd go with the fital cause with the right midbox you'd get that nice midbass with lil tuning so it depends on application and preference......🙂like kostas said what you like to listen Barry White or Celine Dion🤣🤣🤣🤣🇹🇹 TnT🕺🏿in the house 🏘️🇹🇹b🇹🇹a🇹🇹g🇹🇹o🇹🇹locked on🔊💯

IDK. haha. American Bass sounds OK, but there is something about the sound from FaitalPRO that is more attractive, like I just feel nicer to listen to, but I don't know why . --I believe with tweeter, the FaitalPRO would sound great. I believe they are designed differently too: American Bass is designed as a car speaker, so to be listened to at like 5 feet away or less. The FaitalPRO isn't a car speaker, per se, and so is designed to beam music across a room. I listened again but did a blind test. I chose the American Bass because of clarity and details. But then I chose the FailtalPro, and I'm not sure why.

@@blownvoicecoil124 Funny you say that because lately I've been hearing a lot of Timpano speaker systems around Philly, and they can get really loud and clear and talk about mid bass. damn. Only trade off I found is the power factor. Fnt set of 6.5" with RMS of like 175w, and they take it. Some powerful amps, which cost a lot. Any thoughts on that?

Awesome channel. Your speaker comparison videos are helpful when shopping. I miss your old format though because you used to have the speakers pointed at the camera. Seemed to make a difference. I have "monitor" speakers (designed to have accurate reproduction) connected to my pc so I feel like I can get a really good idea of what your speakers will sound like but your recent videos sound muffled. Check out DopplerFX on KZfaq. They have an awesome setup. If I were you, I'd try to replicate it. Again, awesome work! Helpful videos! Thank you!
