Cabbage Soup Recipe:

Protein Power Pancakes:
1 cup Gluten Free Oats
1 medium Banana
1/2 cup Cottage Cheese
4 Eggs
1/4 cup Milk
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie Spice
Optional: Blueberries or Mini Chocolate Chips
Heat griddle or large frying pan to medium. Process the oats in the blender until they become a coarse flour. Add all remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Stir in the blueberries or your favorite add-ins. Lightly butter the pan. Cook until bubbles appear and turn to cook the other side until golden. Serve with Maple Syrup and enjoy!

I always zest oranges, lemons, & limes before I use or freeze them. Just put the zest on a plate or paper towel and put in a dry dark place till it is dry. Adds a nice citris boost in baked goods and frostings. I store it in a spice jar in the cupboard.

The next time you do lemons or limes, cut off the pointed ends and slice the peels and put them in a plastic bag in the freezer. You can take a few out at a time and put them in your garbage disposal with a few ice cubes. Run the disposal and it will clean your disposal and make your kitchen smell amazing. I suppose you could do this with your grapefruit peels, too.

Dear Robin I am watching your channel at 8 pm In Mo, not sure what your time is. I really enjoyed all the useful cooking tips. I wish we had a Costco nearby. My daughter is a bulk shopper and I no most of what she buys is much cheaper than the grocery stores. She picks things up for me and most items last a long time. I am grateful that you pass along so many of your money saving tips to each of us, especially with this economy. I am going to have to share your vacuum storage system to my girls. Thanks so much for another fun video! Especially since you ended with some Austin-time! Always enjoy seeing him make an appearance 😄 Also thanks for teaching me that I could freeze avocados, going to try that soon. Wanted to let you know another tip concerning your citrus. We live in Houston and before the terrible Feb 2021 freeze, we had a very prolific Meyer lemon tree. Before I would squeeze the lemons to freeze the juice in ice cube trays, I would zest several lemons, measure out teaspoon size amounts of zest on a tray and freeze them. After they were frozen I would store them in a freezer bag to use in so many recipes. Of course this can be done with any citrus. Unfortunately our poor tree didn’t make it through that winter. Boy, I sure do miss it! Also loved the suggestion from the viewer about saving the peels for the disposal. I just love how we can learn so much from each other here at your channel. Thanks for the recipes and freezer hints! Here’s a natural cleaning recipe: place the lemon, lime or orange peels in a quart or gallon size glass jar with a screw on lid- fill the jar with the peelings until about 2-4 inches from the top, then fill the jar with distilled white vinegar, screw on the lid and place in a dark, cool area and allow to sit for 2 weeks; strain the mixture through cheesecloth to catch any chunks and debris, then pour into a glass amber spray bottle and you have a citrus cleaner that can be used anywhere and is a great degreaser. For really stubborn stains or dried on foods, I will spray on the cleaner and then sprinkle some baking soda over that and allow to sit for 5 minutes and it helps release that dried or burnt on food with a little less elbow grease than if you didn’t use anything but water to soak.

We love shopping at H‑E‑B when we go to Texas to visit family. The nearest Costco is 30 minutes from us so we don’t shop there. We flew down for Thanksgiving and it was great to order what I needed to cook for over 20 people.

I have a son who lives in Scottsdale, AZ. Their small lemon tree gave them over 200 lemons this year! He sent me a box with about 30-35 lemons, and I also juiced them and froze them in tiny sample cups that have lids. before I juiced them, I also zested them and save it in little half teaspoon size clumps in the freezer.

Austin is so lovely. We buy a 3kg gammon joint and make our own sliced ham for the freezer from Costco. Also large bags of various nuts, coconut oil, ground almonds and kitchen bin liners (Kirkland) as they never burst. We also use Zwilling. The large glass dishes are great in the fridge for keeping salad and berries fresh. We only use the bags for the freezer. Great tip for preserving limes. We are wasted a few lately. Those pancakes look amazing, I will definitely save that recipe because I try to avoid gluten. Costco carries a really delicious GF frozen pizza too. We like the one that isn’t a cauliflower crust. It’s just a cheese pizza and we like to doctor it up however we want. It’s a super crispy thin crust and we love it. I love freezing liquids in ice cube trays. I’ve frozen homemade bone broth. It makes it easier to use up and enjoy. Love Austin’s antics!😊

Costco favorites....butter, Kirkland TP, paper towels and trash bags, organic anything is usually a good deal, produce, KS beef and sausage frozen lasagna (2 microwaveable trays), vitamins and OTC meds, meat (both frozen and fresh), baking and pantry staples, coffee, spices. .... delicious!!

I bought those come in white colour plastics. Started to use these at least 5 years ago😆 Is shape like a dish place over the drain area. Come in a packet of 5, $2SGD from Daiso. Catch hair yes to prevent clots for the drain pipes. Check often empty out any hair, prevent any clots. Good item 👍 Nice video, more 😋🤤 from you. A very busy week over here in Singapore🇸🇬. Haha rarely we have temperature lower than 22C. Cold for me. Near Equator usually temperature higher than 24. Raining days. Missed the sun 🌞😎. I want my laundry air dry so can fold and put away.😌 Have Dryer come with my LG Washing machine but do not like the feel, 2 in 1. But rarely use the Dryer.

I love all of your videos. I still wish we could have them twice a week, but I know it is a lot of work to do them. I am grateful you are sticking with us, because you are the best. I do have a suggestion or an "ASK PLEASE." Would you consider showing us how you clean your stove? I want to know how you clean the window glass in between them. The door windows get so dirty and I don't know the best way to get them clean. Some say to take the screws out and clean it that way but some say to go up in the bottom of the stove and use a yardstick and wrap a clean rag and clean it that way. What have you used before. I know you have a new stove so yours is probably not dirty, but sure would like to see what you think. Costco has monk fruit and their flour at a great price. They have bigger bags of your gluten free flour too. We love their Mexican blend cheese in the two pack. I also get our Kerrygold Butter there because it is a great price, still pricey but so good. Love your recipes and I bought the super and ice cube silcon things that you have on your amazon store and the zweling too. Thanks again for all you do for us.

I love this video! I’m going to make guacamole and freeze it in smaller portions. My husband and I are the only ones in our family who like it. I began making oat flour when our now 30+ year old daughter was little. Though she loves hot oatmeal, she doesn’t like the texture of whole rolled oats in foods; breads, burger Pattie’s, etc, so I began using in flour form and it solved the problem.🙂

When I make cabbage soup, I just use onions, salary carrots cabbage smoke sausage oregano thyme salt, and pepper chicken stock you can also add potatoes

I watch Girl With Dogs and learned about the EquiGroomer Deshedding Brush for Dogs and Cats. She is a professional groomer who uses this tool on her “clients”. I bought one to use on my long hair dachshund. It really works without pulling her hair. I bought it from Amazon. Loved this video. Learned several new tips!!

Hi Robin. Austin was so funny. My dog dries himself on the rugs-after me towel drying him of course, but if I let him outside no doubt he would do the same on the grass 😂😳

We like taking our dog to the local Tractor Supply for a bath during cold weather. They have a do it yourself bath station with an easy to reach sink and a hair dryer. For $9.99 they provide all kinds of shampoo, conditioners and the clean towels. Every 3 or 4 baths you get a coupon for a free one. No worry about dog hair or scrubbing the shower after the bath. During nice weather the baths take place on the deck.

My husband and I just joined Costco in late November! So far, we are really enjoying the experience (even though they've been in Canada for decades we were always hesitant...paying to shop? However, the most frugal and budget-conscious people I know had memberships, so I knew that it had to be good! It's only been a few months and I've almost recouped the price of my membership with the savings already!). Those pancakes look very good, Robin! Thanks again for a great video 😊

Another great video Robin. I get good ideas from you. I’m glad the guacamole freezing works for you. For me, it does not. It’s one of my favorite foods. I like it very spicy. I tried freezing it once but it wasn’t the same as freshly made. The blueberry pancakes look yummy. I love using oatmeal to make pancakes🥞 I really enjoyed seeing Austin🐕

Hi Robin. I use lemons when making drizzle cake and I always microwave them for about 20 seconds before squeezing the juice. It makes them easier and you get a bit more juice from them. I’m sure that would work for limes too love the sound of that soup. I need to make another batch for the freezer so will give your recipe a try

Hello, Robin! Great ideas for food storage! I go to Costco for mostly canned goods because of the food storage conundrum. There are only three of us and we cannot possibly eat all the produce that comes in bulk. Curious to see how the swilling system works for you. Noemi seems to really like it. Austin is a sweetheart! My dogs run away and hide when they know it’s it’s bath time!🤣 have a great week!

My favorite things at Costco is their toilet paper, paper towels, mayorga organic coffee and the Farmer's bacon. The Kirkland brand is pretty good bacon. But farmer's is outstanding
