Dehaven said that Jay DID sell drugs but he wasn't some major big time drug lord. He did runs for the team across the central, and east US states . He served the Marcy projects coming up. Jay was hustlin all the way till he dropped Reasonable Doubt in 96. He was quiet, wasn't flashy, and stayed out of trouble. He was smart. People around him had to convince him to get into rap because he was making more money hustlin. I can't remember exactly which song/verse it was but Jay himself said, some where along the lines off.. "I had $900,000 before rap.." No Dame was NOT the mastermind. He was just the loudest with an attitude. There's a difference. Did he initially get things done? Yes. Did it eventually wear out everyone else around him? Yes. No one wanted to do business with Dame and Jay knew that, so he bounced. Did the right thing.

If you ever made some real money in the street you know it's always a hater talking about how you not getting it smh. Its not rocket science to sell drugs especially in the crack era in an area with addicts everywhere. Fazion is looking at it like Jay is a nice guy so he never sold drugs? First of all its people that sell drugs that never stepped in the street, never fired a weapon and never let anyone know they were selling accept a very small circle that didn't even involve themselves in street violence. So it's not always the way it's portrayed on Tv as if you had to let your whole neighborhood know what you was doing.

Exactly, we'll said. Even though I don't promote drug selling ,I grew up in an Era (70's and 80's )and environment where it was prevelant. To be a drug dealing hustler you don't necessarily have to be Mean,Aggressive or violent. Ppl can just look at some of the interviews of the real Rick Ross (whose regarded as one of the BIGGEST drug dealers to ever do it). He says himself, that he wasn't an aggressive, violent person.🤷🏿‍♂️. Faizon just needs to leave Jay-Z alone. The first thing you learn in the streets, is to never judge a book by its cover. Prime example, look at Freeway Ricky Ross. He looks like a very nice lovable guy, but he was one of the biggest to ever do it and that’s in the record books. Faizon is a clown and likes hearing himself talk.
