It’s our annual Halloween show and Jimmy, Guillermo & the gang are dressed up as bears, we show a terrifying Snuggle Bear ad from 1986, Jimmy’s daughter Jane dressed up as a vampire, Grant Williams of the Boston Celtics got in the Halloween spirit by doing his postgame interview dressed up as Batman, the most popular candy in America was revealed and there is a map to show what the favorite in each state is, President Obama got involved with Herschel Walker and the Georgia Senate race, Kanye found a way to say some more wildly offensive things, Elon Musk is the new owner of Twitter and posted a story from a garbage fake news website about Nancy Pelosi’s husband, DJTJ took to twitter to smear him as well, and ever since we announced the return of our annual Halloween Candy KZfaq Challenge our social media has been ablaze with comments. I understand that my oldest brother was a bit like that. My mom loved to tell a story of a day when she was totally stressed out, and massively over reacted to some minor thing he did - like maybe spilling his juice. Snuggle Bear was designed by my old friend Fred Von Tobel, who worked for Henson. Fred hated the bear. He used to tell me there was a special place in hell for him for creating it.

Fun fact... Smokey Bear started in my state New Mexico. It was a character created to represent a bear cub that was found up in a burnt tree, in the middle of a forest fire that was put out in the 50s. When the cub was found, it's fur was singed. So his name became Smokey Bear. He thus became the mascot for forest fire prevention.

I just moved back home to Montana for the first time in 36 years for Halloween. We used to have tons kids come by. This year after covid-19 and everything else we had 2 people. One child about 12 years old in a Froto from Lord of the Rings costume and with what I assumed was his Dad in a pretty complicated costume with a bloddy shirt with a hole where his heart was and a demonish mask on. I greatly rewarded them with M&M's, Kit Kats, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. We started with 6 bags of candy, we now have left 5.85 bags of candy. It sucks to be a diabetic tonight.

Jeremy Holloway- thanks for answering so promptly. I was just thinking that if you substituted a sandwich for the full sized candy bar that would be close to the kind of lunch you might pack a kid for school, if your kid was vehemently opposed to vegetables and healthy snacks.

:( I spent 23 years working in bars and restaurants so I was always at work in costume for Halloween. Retired last year, decorated the house, made a costume, bought tons of candy…1 single pair it trick or treaters. In a subdivision of almost 300 houses. Broke my heart. Maybe next year will be better right? It could happen :/

That is by far the cutest Halloween choice! Jimmy, Guillermo, Louie and Cleto and the Cletones were all cute in their costumes. 10 out of 10! This one and the Disney Princesses costumes were both my favorites.

Years ago a bartender told me that if you eat candy corn and Spanish peanuts together that it tastes like Snickers. Damned if she wasn't right! Never thought I'd like anything as gross as candy corn but I do as long as there are Spanish peanuts along with it! You're only the second person that I've come across that knows this.
