I find it fascinating how you take a scraggly bunch of skin and feathers and transform it into a work of art. Beautiful finished product yet again! Thanks for sharing 💜💜💜

Start working as a taxidermist assistant recently and I find it very interesting how diffrently each taxidermist works. There isn't one way to work on a bird, there are a houndreds and each person is selling it as the best way. Nice video btw. Did you ever do a video on airbrushing and work you do after the bird is dried?

I haven’t done any video for finishing yet. I’ll keep it mind. Thanks.

How did you glue the skull at the beak? I feel like I missed it... Was that the thin metal rod with wooden handle you used to apply glue? And what are you bandaging the muscle with? It's probably rather slippery tape to move the skin easily?

You are right peter. I use super glue to glue the facial skin around them beak. And yes I use plastic wrap around them cotton built muscle too make things slide easier.

How do you groom birds?
@ArtofTaxidermy3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean how? With pins, tweezers and patience.

@@ArtofTaxidermy I don't know. It doesn't work for me. Can you make a short tutorial

Grooming birds needs a lot of knowledge about birds feathers, tracks and placement. I wouldn’t be able to teach it on a video .. it might takes many mounts and many practices since they can be different in different species. But it’s not impossible. Just needs a lot of practice.
