I get where people are coming from with this line of thinking, but the truth is that Lamar and Karli are the ones to blame for Lamar's death, not Walker himself (though feels guilt over it).

The implication was that Steve was inherently special, which is something Kevin Feige has touched on before. The serum never worked on anyone the way it did Steve, because *_Steve_* was the secret ingredient. The serum that Isaiah received was based off Steve’s blood sample, but it was also flawed and only semi stable, which is why Nagel was brought in. He managed to isolate the necessary compounds to recreate Erskine’s formula, but again, when someone who isn’t Steve takes it, the serum doesn’t work the same way - because they’re not Steve. It’s a never ending loop of a dog chasing its tail. Now, that doesn’t mean that anyone else who takes it is automatically bad - Isaiah or even Bucky for example - that’s just Zemo’s justification for killing Karli. So, you have to counter his extreme (Red Skull) with your own (Steve) otherwise he’s going to poke holes in it.

Mistakes and bad choices, feeling like the outsider, imposter syndrome, it all just intensifies everything until it really feels like he's just blindly swimming, flailing in the dark trying to push through this thing. I think he's a pretty reasonably written villain actually, in terms of relatable human struggle. His locker room scene showed that he really wanted to do a good job. @John Spartan117 1) We don't actually know how many people Isaiah killed directly, nor how many people he was indirectly responsible for dying. We do know for Steve, and that number was one of the major factors at play in Civil War. 2) +Fred Laruya said "unstained credibility" of Steve Rogers. So it doesn't matter if Isaiah killed more. "Unstained" doesn't mean "less than," it means "none."

The ending was actually really sad he was clearly so scared to die but does so brutally and publicly. I don’t know why but the idea of dying in front of a whole crowd of strangers looking on like it’s a public execution would just be horrifying. A whole group of people that will live to see tomorrow watching on, people that will go on with their lives like normal afterwards, knowing those are your last seconds and you won’t get to see tomorrow or any day after that like they will, knowing once your gone, your body will just be laying there lifeless in public and you’ll have no idea what will happen to your body or the person that did it to you.

My favorite part of this episode: Both the shield and bucky's arm came from waconda. They were symbols of unity between wacanda and the rest of the world, and when that connection was threatened by john walker's ignorance and bucky going against the dora in the fight scene, they just straight up take it away from them. They give power to the world, only for that power to be used against them, so they demonstrate that at any time they want, they could take it back. It's super gripping
