Shurima was once the glory of Runeterra. Until it took an arrow to its knee.

Azir is probably my favorite champ lore wise.

Ramus' lore: OK

Im so glad they made azir a ruler that ( though got greedy) had his heart in the right place. Hearing how torn he was and acted when being brought alive was touching. Instead of making him some power hungry ruler of evil because I've always loved azir and personally always wished him to be like this :)

And then Rito found him and decided that no matter how skillful he is, he needs to be nerfed back into his sands, so they began. patch after patch, nerf after nerf, Azir , the Bird God of Shurima, was defeated by Riot's nerf guns. That is where his story ends......For now.

I think Azir's lore is one of the best. I get chills every time i read or hear it. I also love how they conected Shurima with Ionia in the lore of the new champion. Still Azir's lore my favorite :)

And at his greatest moment, he lost it all. His home, his family, and his people (also his life.) Then he’s revived generations from where he once was, only to not care about anything other than helping a random girl he’s never met before. If you lose all of that and still are so selfless you’ve earned your spot as emperor. Now Riot buff him

I knew a bit about Azir's lore already, and I thought he was a dick from the small amount I knew, but now that I heard the whole thing, Azir was a really good guy, and Xerath was just a guy who betrayed his brother.

Shurima was 1of the best lore events they did. I'm really glad they are going back to it with the new game mode, like they did for ascension.

I'm pretty sure that Xerath killed the queen and her child aswell as the emperor to make sure Azir became emperor :P you go Xerath!

And to this day, he has one of the most versatile midlane kits and some of the best lore. Champ is well balanced, and has a huge skill gap
