Thank you for being here! Your father was absolutely brilliant in this show! And he was equally brilliant in one of the greatest science fiction films ever: The Day the Earth Caught Fire. I really believed he was the science reporter for that British newspaper!

I'll always have a soft spot for the McKern eps "Chimes of Big Ben," "Once Upon a Time" and "Fallout!" The others were excellent in their respective ways, but I'll always feel that the dialog exchanges and the dramatic/comedic chemistry between McGoohan & McKern sold it for me. Two legendary giants whose like we'll never see again!

Kenneth Griffith's delivery many years later of the "lost" President speech is top notch. Exactly the way it woulda sounded in 1968, had the scene stayed in. I want these documentaries on DVD *bad*. My favourite episode is Do Not Foresake Me Oh My Darling. I'm serious. Followed by Fall Out and Many Happy Returns. Shit, they're ALL pretty damned good. I mean, be honest. :)

My fave ep was A,B and C... but I love them all. I hope McGoohan would be proud and happy that his show can still hold the imagination and incite debate and thinking. A fan forever of the Prisoner :)

I read that Leo Mckern had a nervous breakdown after filming 'Once Upon a Time.' If that's true I'm not surprised, it was a very intense story. And I would imagine that kind of performance would be a great emotional and physical strain on an actor.

I don't care what ANYONE Says, Fall Out is THE BEST episode. And if you don't get it, too bad for being such a literal minded number...BWAH HA HA!!!

The first 10 episodes of The Prisoner are INCREDIBLE - my bible really. Something went wrong when McGoohan came back from Ice Station Zebra. The "western" episode is silly. The Last episode is to much like Batman. The whole series should have ended on Many Happy returns. A Wonderful creepy ending. In the end - still my favorite show EVER. The dialogue is unmatched in any media.

The last two episodes actually contained some of the most important and blatant esoteric symbolism….I’m sorry you couldn’t see past the flamboyant presentation and its peculiarities to the wisdom and allegory underneath….maybe if you rewatch it you may pick up something new.

not entirely, sure that number 1 is not society personified, but that the evil essence in each of us because of the weakness of our souls that turn to the "society complex" as a form of shelter. (the strong defending the little guy in exchange for their liberty as an example) and the faltering of going down this path that lead to monarchy than revolution to democracy and then to dictatorship but all still forms again of surrendering your individual liberty along of with the liberty of others. and doing so you prevent yourself from becoming "the greatest" of the greatest true self that you could possibly be, neitze would call this the true ubermensch number six just wants anarchy and to be free from the social construct the "society" structure we force upon ourselfs.
