Hi Friends! Happy New Year! I am so excited to take you on my weekend trip to Hualien! I have never seen anything like Taroko Gorge! Taiwan has so many beautiful places and I am very thankful that I get to experience them! Can't wait for more adventures! :)

七星潭是很漂亮的海岸，不過花東大多是陡峭的大海（一下水就很深非常深所以不適合下水，也禁止下水）太魯閣國家公園也是必去的景點有很多步道、古道。夠走上好幾天了清水斷崖更是必去的景點（這裡也規劃在太魯閣國家公園）在下雨、地震後去太魯閣國家公園含清水斷崖、蘇花公路要非常小心，因為下雨地震過後落石的機會大大增加東大門夜市是全台灣最寬敞的夜市，比較不會人擠人

Taiwan is definitely on my list for international travel. Ya know, when they world isn't burning 😅 It looks like so much fun! You should do a video on what the pay, lifestyle, contract requirements, schedule, etc. are like teaching overseas.

Hualien is my hometown and watching your video is making me nostalgic! But thanks so much for making videos of these breath-taking scenery of Taroko. I can literally look at the water and rocks for hours! I hope next time you visit Hualien the weather will be a lot nicer and you can explore more places!

Haha, High-speed railway has not reached Hualien yet! The county is like a backyard of Taiwan that many people like to go there for holiday. A long weekend in Hualian is truly fascinating! It would be better if you had a local guide to show you around, but it seemed you guys had planned well to visit those famous sites! Hope one day your travel will bring you to Tainan, where is usually sunny and renowned for local deli! It would be a pleasure when you explore the oldest city in Taiwan. Enjoy the days here and happy New Year!

I used the HSR when I visited Taichung, I would want to try the normal train to and from Taipei the next time I visit...I always like to stare at the window while travelling

we were just there a couple of days before Christmas, it is beautiful there! those are monkey poop on the suspension bridge, you need to the baiyang trail next time you visit!

I visited Taichung, Hehuan Shan, Cing Jing Farm, Hualien and Taipei on a 2-week trip 6 years ago. I think it would be nice if you hire a driver or have a local to bring you around places like Hehuan Shan, Cing Jing Farm and Taroko Gorge. There are lots of pretty viewpoints of the ocean along the Eastern coastal road.

Highly recommend you go deeper and further into Taroko Gorge next time. In reality, the most spectacular part of Taroko Gorge are inside. To cite an instance, "Mountain Moon bridge" is the highest suspension bridge in Taiwan, which is 150 meters above the ground and be much more chilling than the one you gone. Also, ZuaLu old trail is another thrilling trial curved into meters high cliff with beautiful scenery. Yee~

Welcome to Hualien There are another three rope bridges in Taroko, also very beautiful. You can visit them next time. 山月吊橋、錐麓吊橋、岳王亭吊橋 The first two need an appointment, the last one does not.

Actually, there is no high speed train in the eastern part of Taiwan. That's the secret of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung to keep their landscape view.

If you stay in Taiwan long enough, I suggest you come to Penghu after April. It is a great island with seafood, beautiful beaches and the sea. I would like to introduce it to you.

I went there with bicycle. Didn't have many days in the country, otherwise I would have continued that road until reached other side of Taiwan. Not much traffic on that road, good for bicycles. I read there are some local tribes living in the mountains.

Make it at least 3 days next time so you can see more beauty of the Taroko gorge and Hualien. By the way, have you noticed the sidewalks are all paved with marbles? Hualien is the main source for such material, so it can afford it.

The second type of flower you saw is called lantana. You can find it in the states, too.

crush an aspirin (for those little pesky spots) I am not sure why a bit of acidic stuff works on blemishes, but it does indeed work well/ apply with some water and allow to dry on the skin before bedtime,,,, just what our Texas currenderos recommend.

It is too much boring in Taipei, during Chinese New Year, because too much people go back to country, if you can follow your friends, who babk to the country of Taiwan, I think it's too much fun, or travel in Chinese New Year, it's also a good idea, you can go southbound of Taiwan, I think it is too much fun compared to stay in Taipei.

I understand most foreigners like explore landscape, but I highly recommend women to explore POYA(寶雅)or similar shop in night market and stationery store文具店(久大or 九乘九) in city. You will find lots of low price treasure (little cute makeup equipment and little cute gifts or for yourself), or if you prefer more high quality gifts, eslite (誠品)is recommended as well. I always visit those places when I go back to Taiwan.😉

來太魯閣絕對不能錯過“錐麓古道” 沿途有不少日治時期的遺跡遺址等妳去探尋 (記得要先申請入園證喔 😁

Though it is indeed incredibly spectacular but NEVER hike on ZuiLu old trail in such a rainy day unless you want to fall from 600-meter high cliff. There is even not fences set.
