The moment Julia recognizes the similarity between the build-up and breakdown between this and Popular Monster whilst also not knowing that is the formula for almost all metal-core band's breakdowns is so cute and genuine. Also not knowing that Ronnie is basically is one of the pioneers of that style of build up. *in julia voice* THAT IS SO COOOOOOEL!!!!

The mic stand thing is actually a reference to Ronnie back in the earlier days. He had this idea to throw a mic stand into a crowd and he ended up hitting someone with it. It's one of those things he's not that proud of. But he can still joke about. 😂

I don't think I've heard you swear yet, when you dropped the F bomb while reciting the lyrics to popular monster it was as if hearing your teacher swear for the first time. I was like 😳😳😳

One of the things I like about Falling In Reverse is how well they pair the music and their videos to tell a story which helps to ground the lyrics in the moment and help us to see it from there perspective.

You reactions are the best because they’re so genuine! Love watching you jam out. Been listening to this song on repeat (and other FIR songs) on my commutes to and from work. Also the mic stand impaling the zombie is a nod to the time he tossed a stand into a crowd and accidentally hurt a fan years ago. Some people literally won’t let it go even though it was 10 years ago.

That "Oh oh" gutteral that you were focusing on towards the end reminds me very much of David Draiman from Disturbed. That's very much a tone/technique he uses, e.g., Down With the Sickness.

I highly suggest you check out the Swedish band Imminence with the amazing singer/violinist Eddie Berg. Their recent album 'Heaven in Hiding' is an absolute epic but very dark emotional journey, both visually and musically.

Oh man If you think the mic stand thing was funny already, wait til you understand the context behind it. Like… 7-8 years ago Ronnie tossed a mic stand into the crowd in a well-meaning but Ill-Advised move. It was just a rockstar hype thing, but it blasted a teenage fan in the head and did a little damage. Nothing major, but enough to call it a dick move. Anyway, he’s apologized for it like a million times and has stated that he wishes he hadn’t done it, but it’s something that some people just won’t let go of. He gets shit for the mic stand incident to this day, as if it’s a thing he still does and he’s a danger to fans at every show, which just isn’t true. It’s his version of Ozzy biting the head off the bat. So the mic stand javelin was a self - own, a wink to the fact that that’s something people have tried to cancel him over

I saw you posted your reaction and wanted to click on it a thousand times over but I bit my lip and watched the other reactions first because I know that when you get going on it that you will blow it out of the water, and man was I right. You by far are the best vocals reactor on KZfaq. And as always, you busted out a few vocal examples. Favorite parts of the song: The creativity of the lyrics and attack on cancel culture, it's just perfect. His choruses are the best, always; they're soo catchy. The breakdown is crazy heavy. Then there's the video: Incredible movie quality. I thought Popular Monster, The Drug in Me is Reimagined, and I'm Not a Vampire Revamped had incredible videos and then he decided to step it up again! The Easter eggs of the mic stand throw and the F*** Ronnie shirt were perfect. And that car they hopped in was SICK. Ronnie just kills it over and over again.

Not just in your head, Julia, not just yours...😂 . Yeah, the buildup to breakdown is *very* common in modern metal(core). It's in Watch the World Burn as well. In fact, the only band I can think of that doesn't do it on a regular basis is Lorna Shore. They don't usually bother over much with the buildup - they tend to just drop straight into the breakdown.
