I can sleep-in during deer season but I never sleep-in and miss a morning during spring gobbler season. It is so very special and Dave gets it and celebrates the passion for turkey hunting in every video and every hunt. I check the Tube 365 days a year for new releases and watch everyone several times. Great stuff for a turkey addict like myself.

I’ve hunted’em here in Alabama for 45 years and the adrenaline rush is still the same today as it was with the first one. Great hunt. Thanks for letting us tag along. Neither one of my legs went to sleep sittin in this recliner.

Love finding them morels , adds a bonus to the hunt ! I really love your videos because you share the story from start to finish and it’s like I’m with u the whole way ! Some people hate it when I drag a video out on my channel but those are the people that don’t know what it’s all about, also I’m not as kool as Dave Owens lol .. Not sure exactly where in Wisconsin you are hunting, but I make my home in southwest Wisconsin. I hunt a lot of public land and a fair amount of private land. I've been hunting turkeys since Wisconsin held it's first season in 1983. Still can't get enough turkey hunting. I get just as excited today as I did on my first hunt over 30 years ago. I can tell you there is nothing better than a successful, safe day in the field turkey hunting and then top it off with a bag of morel mushrooms. Just can't beat it! Look me up if you ever get this way in the the spring and up for another turkey hunt.

Havent been able to go for health reasons.With Gods help hope to go maybe this fall or next spring. Wow, what a beautiful turkey! And you said "we " got him because we were right there with you! Thanks for that.! What a great final hunt, even with the camera mishap! and it really shows how things can go bad when the moment of truth arrives. You are a great self- filmer ( maybe not quite as good as Shane) Not to mention caller and woodsman, so don't get discouraged ! Keep on trying! We need this stuff!

Gotta chance to hunt WI this year for the 1st time . Great public lands to hunt . Lots of birds & the folks I met afield were pretty cool.. Being from East TN , we don't have the same number of public available as WI does... I'll be definitely going back this year . O had some good advice from Shane Simpson on how to get started with the license and such ... Congrats on a great Timber Gabriel . .

You ever want to try your hand at some tough Virginia Mountain Gobblers we got a ton of em and more national forest/farmland to hunt em on holler brother

Got a Question Dave. I know you and Chubbs have both gotten the US super slam. How does recognition of that work? You guys arent on the NWTF website as completing the slam( not that that really matters) but was curious what happens when you do complete the slam, or any slam. Spring is almost here, all I can think if is turkeys ha.

If you'd like to register your birds with the NWTF (pay them to enter each gobbler) you can have your name listed in their records. I don't feel the need to have my name listed there.

Spring is right around the corner , and all I can see and hear is gobbling and drumming. Good luck to you this spring

Its a Canon G7X. No, it's the vlog camera for most situations unless I'm self filming.

@@pinhotiproject I have a feeling you were down in the southwestern area of the state. You wanna try a public land in the central part of the state....look me up. Less ridges than you are used to...more hard woods and some swamps.
