So I have a 29 inch. dia short leafe pine It has some curves, but I'm not sure it leans much, but it is right by my house. I'm wondering how wide of a hinge I need to leave using this method. I'm thinking about 4" and a little fatter on side away from the house in case it is leaning a bit towards tbe house. I have to drop it somewhat parallel to the side of the house, but maybe 45 deg away. Any advice?
