Even as an adult, even knowing they're puppets, did anyone else get starstruck when the characters appeared? I did. I grinned like a five-year-old when Grover showed up. He was always my favorite. :)

I grinned like an idiot when cookie monster showed up, but as I got older and watched Sesame Street again with my younger brother, Oscar became one of my favorites because he's always such a dick it makes me laugh.

Dragons Addicted No way, they have been together waaay too long for that bullshit. At this point they just tolerate each other, because it's easier than moving on to another relationship with a different gay muppet. Lot's of hatred filled glares across the room, and muttering personal insults under their breath. Everyday they just prey the other will die from a violent accident, just to end the paralyzing monotony that has infected their sad existence.The only solace they can still hope for is the sweet warm embrace of death.

I remember Sesame Street teaching me letters and numbers. Electric company with Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno teaching numbers and vocabulary. Mr. Rogers showed me how to tie my shoes and that I was a unique person loved by both parents even though they weren't married anymore. Romper Room is also glued in my memory. I remember watching a lot of public television when younger. Of course before cable was mainstream. We also played outside a lot before then too.

Since then Caroll Spinney has had many health issues which has further weakened him. He can no longer physically puppeteer his characters.Most of both the physical and vocal work for BB and Oscar are now done by Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobson.
