I was so happy until you mentioned far harbor

This video is 5 years old but, GOD, thank you! Managed to get a Explosive Minigun out of this and changed my whole build into a Heavy Weapons style with Heavy Gunner + Demolitionist perk!

If you quick save after the 3rd shovel stroke when the screen goes black dinging up the chest then you lock in what ever weapon is found so if you like the weapon you can just lode the quick save until you get the right effect you want

Like if you're back here after watching fallout on Prime.

I got a sniper that slows down time for a few seconds when you aim. Useful for...sniping...

Exploding mini gun is easily the strongest gun in the game. With max big guns perks and demolitionist perks, it will do about 78 damage per shot. (Using tri barrel) I recommend using tri barrel so you can keep a distance from your enemy and not die trying to fight a ghoul a foot away from you.

(continue) keep reloading quicksave until you get the mod you like

Great tip. I think it's too late for my main character as he already opened the chest and moved. I will definitely do this on my next non-survival play through of Fah Hahbah.

The instigating gauss rifle does double damage if the target is at full health, but with the double bullet firing effect, I'm pretty sure it does the same thing but the target doesn't have to be at full health.

you can loot lock here too - right when you dig and the screen goes black, wait just until you hear the creacking noise (while screen is still black) make a quicksave. then if its the weapon you like but not the right mod, simply reload the quicksave

So I’ve tried this method in the hopes of getting the same gauss rifle. However, it appears I’m only getting low level legendary weapons. ESO... what level were you at when you got the gauss rifle? I’m currently at level 54.

This really works. I got an explosive minigun and it shreds through hp if you have big guns maxed.

Wow cool ill have to give it a try. im working on a Heavy Build with Power Armor and need a Laser Gatling to be explosive or something very Unique or explosive Minigun to make my build work better.

Have to admit I did not even know there was an 'end quest' to Far Harbor. I was aware of the factions etc but had no idea there was a definitive 'end'. :)

If only I knew about this years ago… my best survival character would’ve had an explosive mini gun or any fast hitting melee weapon with kneecapper or stagger.

if i got a weapon with the unlimited ammo ability could i take that off the weapon then put it to any weapon i want?

Farming location would imply that you get the gun you want, and then get to try for something else. Is that what this is or is it just a one shot deal for the mission itself? I haven't made it this far yet as i've just recently picked up and started playing... but yeah some clarification would be nice?

Honestly really nice video ESO, I think I just got really unlucky with the loot, i think i spend around 2hours opening over 300 of those crates only got 2 gauss rifles with the first one having a really bad legendary effect, the second one still wasn't really what i wanted but i kept it because i was fed up with quickloading :). You think the droprate of gauss rifles depends on lvl/quests/.. ? Because i really openened alot of them and i was lvl 50 already :(

Question I wont spoil it but the part where on you can't get the Asian chic back home can you still go to the dig site anyway?

I kinda like this method, i keep it in mind when i complete far harbor on my second playthrough. But this seems like a much more of a PC method. I really dont care what people say, on PS4 its about 30 seconds+ per load (atleast for me across two playthoughs, sooooo no clue what else i could do different) so it would take absolutely for ever to farm through. atleast with the standard technique and can lock in the weapon and then pin it down to the prefix. But it might be worth giving it a few spins since you can only do this method once. Alternatively i suggest Hideout just a little south of that location; take a few steps to find the legendary in the room, and its atleast lockable.

So if you quick save just before killing legendary enemies and dislike what you get can’t you reload to before killing them and get something different? I’m theory?

what is a good trait for a plasma automatic rifle?? i have the radium rifle with explosive ddamage, a assaut rifle with fire damage, a institute rifle with two shoots, automatic plasma gun and railway automatic rifle (those two without traits).

I finished Far Harbor and brought the girl back, but I don't remember this chest. I think the old man may have shorted me! Damned NPCs, ya just can't trust 'em.

Far harbor is the best dlc hands down ,children of atom will a always be my most favorite faction right beside the brotherhood and enclave from the entire series

I was finishing up the quest (in survival) and i went to get something and i forgot to pause so one of the fricking cats started pushing me off the platform and i fell into water and started drowning and the save was so far back i rage quitted.

make multiple saves of the weapon that you might want to keep.
