Thank you for posting. The USAF is a great early location to explore - lots of interesting stuff, great loot, a boss with a mini gun. It's everything you want when you're emerging from the vault.

Hi ESO just wanted to mention that the locket you found in the toolbox towards the end is a quest item which is required to gain the trust of the Abernathy family at Abernathy farm (a settlement). You get the quest from Blake Abernathy who asks you to retrieve the locket.

Generally when you first go to that location a group of molerats will spawn and attach you as soon as you get near the facility. Oddly, one of those molerats has an explosive attached to it; which, will detonate when it gets close to you (similar to the suicide super mutants). It is pretty much the only time in the game you come across a molerat like that.

If you are actually wondering, the locket you found is a quest item for the abenathy (or something like that) farm. The dad tells you that they lost a daughter to raiders and that they took her locket, you can go after that and give it back to them after getting this quest. Basically that place is all about raiders who robbed and killed the farm.

In regards to the locket you found, it's part of a quest you can find early on in the game from one of the farms that's super close to Sanctuary. It's a nice farm to as there is a character named Connie there that has a basic shop. No need to get all the way to Diamond City for your first consistent shopping location. The place is called the Abernathy Farm. The Abernathy Farm has one more good little thing about it, in that you can sell your melons to their daughter Lucy for better than vendor price. But that seems to be only before you finish the quest to get the locket. Once you finish the quest for the locket then the farm becomes like any of your other settlements in that you can upgrade it. (Though Connie still acts like a merchant so that's nice)

Pick up almost everything and just fast travel back to your settlement and dump it all into the crafting station then fast travel back to where you were. I have probably gained at least 10 levels just by crafting/cooking chems and food into better food and chems. I just dump it into a container because I don't use it. Have gained at least a couple levels by crafting syringes and nades.

Great walk through, as always. Looking forward to one for Vault 81. I went in thinking "Huh, a normal vault that wasn't some social or scientific experiment? First time for everything!" Yeah.... not so much. That vault has one hell of a warped backstory lol.

In 13:51, the locket you found. When you happen upon an item like that and it goes to inspect view (showing you a close up of the item and some info), most likely you stumbled upon a quest item which you haven't started the quest yet.

hey man, that power armor you found if you transfer a fusion core into it, you can take the suit as well as its armor components. That guy next to the armor is the first soldier to die from a squad of power armored troops that you get missions about. There is even their leader, who is held up solo in a bunker, having become old and paranoid. If your charisma is high enough, you can talk him down and at least not have to defend yourself and kill him.

at 14:00, that locket is part of a minuteman quest. also, when you first arrive at this location, you get attacked by a suicide bomber mole rat, lol. that thing nearly killed me.

I normally let the SentryBot at the junkyard kill all the Raiders outside the base.

The locket is for a quest for the Minutemen. It's from that farm near that laser musket sniper rifle you did a video of.

The Locket was from abernathy farm if i remember correct, its part of the mission to get them to join the minutemen n such. It used to belong to the oldest daughter of the abernathys, killed by raiders when she stood up to them i believe. And you have to return the locket to her mother. The farm it unlocks is awesome, by far a favourite of mine. It's build into like a power cable tower.

the bath tub thing isnt an easter egg its on of those random bodies you find in buildings and stuff and raider's probaly killed them because raiders do that kind of stuff

8:50 this is an example of the cover system if you go up to a wall or windows edge you will hold your gun up and you will lean out when you ADS and lean back in when you stop. Very useful for Snipers, Assault rifles and even Shotguns. If you dont like using grenades/molotovs yourself you can give them to your followers, they seem to use them sort of randomly though. You should of just put preston in the frame as a way of moving it somewhere more convenient, you should of gotten the Crystal Decanter because it contains Crystal which is one of the rarest resources. I also would of gotten the snack box the spotted one only weighs 0.1 while the rest weigh 0.5 but it still heals for as much as some 0.5 foods.

I was just looking around and found man and woman at a farm and she said it was her daughters, the raiders stole it when they kept trying to make them pay them to leave them alone! +ESO the locket is for a minuteman quest helping a random farmstead you come across right next to the First Red Rocket gas station on the map. Something about the farmers daughter's death and the raiders took the family heirloom ie the locket

That locket you picked up with the picture inside belongs to a daughter from a farm a little south of sanctuary. They will ask you to get it back before joining the minutemen. If oyu pick it up now, it will save you the hassle later

The raiders at Olivia have been rigging Molerats with explosives, requiring caution approaching the station from any direction but north as they will attack you in the style of super-mutant suicders. The laser trap at the entrance triggers Tesla trap on the ceiling, which you can loot for fusion cells if you disable the laser without triggering it. If you go to Abanthy Farm (south-west of Sanctuary) and talk to Mr Abanathy he will give a you a request to retrieve the locket of hid dead daughter from the raiders at Olivia. The locket is the one ESO found in the toolbox at the entrance of the rad roach room. Completing this quest will give you access to the Workshop at Abanthy Farm. I've also been sent to Olivia to collect intel on mission for the BOS..

What i did at this satelite is use sentry robot to clear the area, you can do it in all 4 locations and when you arrive thier be a stack of bodies. The robot does returnto robot facility after clearing 1 area, well it did for me.
