With the release of the Tv series, I'm kind of surprised they didn't put a little more effort into updating this game. Considering all the remastered games (Crysis, RE franchise, FF franchise, etc.) that have been released recently, they could have sold a remastered version of this game and probably made a pretty penny from it.

It would be so easy, they couldve given the Game the "The Witcher 3 Treatment" by implementing the best graphic mods into the base Game and build upon that. But they didnt even did the bare minimum

This game doesn't need DLSS nor FSR, it's already so CPU limited, it wouldn't do anything

The next gen update does work I can finally play superwide 3440x1440 without it stretching everything. The only thing not fixed is the ui, but that's minor to me.

Love that you're fighting a deathclaw with a laser musket - you should have gone to the top of the museum and got the power armour (like preston harvey said ;) )

I ran this on an RTX 3090 and an i9-10850K @4K/120Hz. It never dipped below 120 fps. There was an occasional stutter though.

I'm revisiting the game on my 13900K/RTX4090 77" LG C3 living room setup and was pleased to be locked at 120 fps most of the time, until I noticed that jumping is useless at high framerates. Only when I locked it at 60 could I jump as intended. I believe there's at least one mod to decouple physics from framerate but it wasn't updated as of a few days ago.

The game's engine/physics aren't even made to go above 60 FPS. You start getting weird glitches, when trying to lock pick, or when using a terminal, or sometimes with dialogue, and player movement being too fast.

If u use borderless mode, fps drop like crazy with frame pacing all over the place lol

I love your videos, appreciate you for your hardware (specs and skill) and I also loved Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4. Especially 3 and 4 had some of the memorable stories, I've ever expirienced.

Installed this trash. Couldn't even get to the vault in the begining. Game just crashes no mater what I do. I get 144fps on 4090...so it might be something with engine above 60fps

Did you disable the "weapon debris" graphics setting? It makes all RTX cards crash.

Jokes aside, the reason why there is issues related to the FPS, is because you need to play at a multiple of 60, so 120 FPS would work fine. Fallout 4 like Skyrim both have issues with the physics that isn't a multiple of 60 FPS. They fixed this in Fallout 76 with odd FPSs I believe.

I made a similar comment just now. The games engine starts acted weird above 60 FPS. So getting extremely high FPS with this outdated game, is counter intuitive.

225Mhz+ on the core at 1.07v in msi Afterburner. It will be lower in games which are power limited and use over 520W

6800 XT here all the 4k mods here vanilla enb+ with reactors pre processor rigged in there. looks minty fresh with some minor tweaks and high flections force your vram usage to your cards max my usage maxes out at 13gb and my low is 10gbs of vram usage and and damn !! with a 4090 you'd be getting better frames than me but my norm is 50 with 40 low. My game play looks alot better than yours so trust me with that card you can do better with some mad science .

HD texture pack is still just trash. Vivid fallout has been my go too for years now. Works so well with ENB's, and improves games performance. Combined with gloomy glass and a few other mods, and you can get it too look amazing and with current cards its not even a preformance dip.
