Loved the Railroad so much. A 007-ish theme, code names and dead drops, and you even get a Walther PPK. Symbolisms of the actual Railroad during the Civil War was also a nice touch. Fallout 4 is such a treasure trove for history buffs.

Thanks for posting this up. (SOME SPOILERS) I actually ran into the Donut Shop as I was making my way out of the starting area, and found the locked door into the Switchboard. This music started playing in the basement, and I just sat there listening to it. I was so glad when I found these guys later-- they mesh with my favored lore much better than the Brotherhood does, and their missions are super fun. The music is really great. Future-scifi-ambient mixed with a tiny bit of espionage thriller soundtrack.

Heard this theme at the Switchboard for the first time. Reminds me of 1970s conspiracy thrillers and the theme for The Parallax View. Very fitting for the Railroad and Institute paranoia.

Equal parts mystery, intrigue and just a tinge of hopefulness - This is the Railroad embodied in a song. Bravo

(spoilers) I play Fallout 4 with my music off most of the time so I can play my own music, and while I'm going through the Brotherhood of Steel questline I get to the part where you wipe the railroad out. Near the end of the fight while I was picking off the grunts left behind after killing all the major characters, I remembered I had my music off and turned it on just because. After everyone was dead, I heard this for the first time. (since before now I hadn't entered the Railroad HQ with music on) Now, it may seem weird to you (maybe not) but music in general is very close to my heart and something about hearing this with dead bodies strewn about made me really made me question my choices. "Am I doing the right thing here?"

In my early hours of a first playthrough I came across an underground room that played this music. I know now that it was a hidden entrance to the Railroad HQ but back then I had no idea except that it must be something secret and intriguing given this unique and memorable music.

H2-22's goodbye was the saddest moment in my playthrough...

Thanks for making me feel like a spy whenever I enter HQ, Railroad.

I really like the trumpets in "Covert Action". That music is really freaking great as music to set the mood of the environment you're in.

will never forget this song. Christmas 2015, had just returned from a 4 month long trip away from my family I was insanely ill, lying in bed practically high on drugs playing this game for days straight while a blizzard raged outside. This song made everything dreamlike, a bliss I can't quite describe. It's engrained into my head now. Thanks Inon Zur!

Only completed the first "official" Railroad mission (where you get the Deliverer) and I can already tell that they have the best music.

You know whats the sad part, like the minutemen, the railroad was pushed back so far only the minute men just didn't have the castle as a base, the railroad was forced to go underground in a crypt which is kinda foreshadowing of the fate of their organization, even in their quest line, the keep losing more and more, and our finally sitting in a physical and metamorphical big coffin. Their our the one with the most sympathies deserved.

I return here every so often but it's a haunting feeling since I betrayed the railroad and their corpses still lay about, I reminisce on my choices those I let down and those I chose to forget for I had worked close with them in finding the institute only to join them and been force to betray my once allies

I wish I could've saved Deacon. I rolled in their and wanted to save them, but they didn't want to hear it. I threw god knows how many Synth Grenades at them and watched, watched closely and in secretive pain as people I did consider friends were slain by the things they were trying to liberate. It was then, I could see the irony of the situation, and I came to the realization that each member that fell, was more and more of a light that was put out for Synths everywhere. I realized I was ending their chances and hope of escaping the Institute. I understood that I was the monster they feared and fought against.We slaughtered them all, and strung their corpses on their pedestal as a constant reminder. A reminder that The Institute will not be a faction to trifle with, and that our goal will be completed. A reminder that will haunt me till the end of my days. A reminder of what a monster can do when a choice has to be made. A reminder that I wouldn't risk my life for them, but they would, for me.

The Railroad has good morals, and i believe they have good intentions, but they really only ever look out for themselves and synths. They're not really equipped to sustain order or peace in the Commonwealth, not that they try hard for that Too bad they're so cool, it'd be cooler if they were a side faction, because after the end of the main quest they have no other big dreams besides fighting for only synths

I love how the theme combines a sense of secrecy and exclusiveness with a touch of sci-fi-ish aura in it

The names Bond....James Bond

This theme fills me with determination for some reason, maybe because for me it sounds futuristic and melancholic at the same time - picturing a world devastated by a nuclear war 200 years ago and then suddenly you experience a jump into the future. I wish it'd play whenever I'm roaming the Commonwealth at night while looking at the starry sky.

War of Wills is probably my favorite song from Fallout 4. I first heard it in the Switchboard underneath Slocum's Joe. Awesome.

The trumpet adds a 1920'/1930's Police/Mafia feel to it. If you go there as Silver Shroud and have Nick as a companion.. you're basically a Hero with a Detective sidekick..

The whole Railroad/Institute plot reminded me of the movie Equilibrium with blade runner thrown in.

The memories of organizing my inventory at the HQ and hearing this music at the same time has become legendary. It was here that I knew Fallout 4 would be an all-time best.

Ngl I never thought of the railroad as an organization to save and free synths, but more of a shadowy intelligence organization that pulls strings around the commonwealth and fights against the institute with subterfuge.

Anyone else feel nostalgic? As if this soundtrack has been playing in my life in very unique and rare moments. This is what I call genius music because it sounds very familiar even though I haven't heard it before.

The start of war of wills is just... p e r f e c t

I always loved having the Railroad as a side faction during my Minuteman play-throughs. BOS is also present but I mainly focus on Minutemen and Railroad, isolated the two factions are pretty boring but when sharing a Playthrough it makes the Minutemen a bit spicy, as if they're a front for the Wider Railroad resistance. It's a lot of fun, I just wish both factions had more proper quests. Maybe there is modded quests out there but Fallout 4 Modding is many time harder and laggier then Fallout NV modding, else I'd be working on it myself.

2023 fresh install and play.. That's why I'm hear, Totally forgot about this as I focused on the MM quests till past level 40. Hearing this tune creep in under the doughnut shop was bliss. Most fitting faction tune ever, makes you love the railroad.
