If there is a recall, that means its harmful. Something had to provoke them enough to actually bother to concede to testing, and Ill bet you they only tested a sampling of other helmets of the same type despite it being the same factory. There is so much that must take place, to hit so many people, before any concession is made that I would guess that it has caused someones death and ruined several homes.

It's very likely that the helmet was made in the same factory. I suspect that there is only 1 or 2 places that make these special order helmets, and that is why it's a common collector edition thing - the same place makes them and works on contract consistently. They probably had to do a recall after they had a dead-to-rights confirmation on a helmet that was the red one. It's almost a guarantee its all of the helmets and for multiple games/sets/ probably even halloween decor/costumes.

Don't send them back, you will need them as evidence with your home insurance when you have to gut your entire house and have family members on ventilators in the ICU ward at the hospital.
