It's time to test The Crusader Pistol. The plan for the Crusader Pistol comes from Daily Ops, so it requires a bit of luck just to get your hands on it. Minerva also sells it on occasion. Neither the plan nor the gun are tradeable.

My pistolerro rolled quad/50crit/lessAP back in a while. Pity ,it hasn't got an automatic receiver. I love the flaming mode on it.

The Crusader Pistol is a very slept on weapon. I rarely see people use it. I know pistols aren't really powerful in Fallout 76, but I think the Crusader is pretty good. It's no 10mm Pistol, but with the diverse ammo it can use with mods, it's become my favorite pistol with the 10mm being my second favorite.

It's my most used weapon right now. I have aristocrat and explosive on mine and use it while sneaking. It tears through flesh and armor like tissue paper with ice bullets and I don't even run pistol damage mods for it

possibly due to ops giving you repeat plans, i know i did ops daily for 5 months an never got it to drop, i know they just patched ops to give plans you don't have so fingers crossed i'll finally be able to nab it, also everytime minerva had it i didn't know about it an missed out :(

wait in till the science perk cards come with 10% energy weapon damage on each card that will be 30% for 6 intelligence perk points

I'm not sure the Crusader will be affected. It's been so long since I was on the PTS that I can't remember if I tested that one or not.

the crusader is for the people who just want a nice change from the 10mm, you arent losing out on that much damage if any so its quite nice

I would rather have full gun fu than tenderizer. I feel like tenderizer is too underwhelming for 3 cards. At least it should give a 5 percent boost each card ending with 15 percent. Gun fu has just way better in terms of overall damage, accuracy, and kill time with vats.

While I use both Gun Fu (which I think may get a buff in the future) and Tenderizer, if I had to choose I would probably take Tenderizer over Gun Fu. Firstly, Tenderizer is multiplicative whereas Gun Fu is additive, so it tends to provide higher damage with greater consistency, especially against tanky enemies. Additionally, Tenderizer stacks up to 40% when other players use it together on the same target-- it's arguably one the best damage perks for teams. On the flip side, the best situation for Gun Fu is when a tanky enemy is surrounded by paper-thin cronies that the player can kill off before swapping to the biggie-- now, that's an ideal situation for an undetected solo player, but it gets complicated when other players are running through your line of fire. Both are worth running, if you have the space, though.

@@radiobaked I would say it definitely matters when it comes to nuke bosses, but when its just normal events, bosses and enemies die pretty easily without it, gun fu would clean up adds in a jiffy if every had it. But I agree with you mostly that if a whole team had it for nuke bosses, it would be worth every penny.

I have a bloodied/explosive/pyro Crusader pistol that I love to use on my commando build (no pistol perks). But it will kill me dead if I shoot something at close range! My explosive fixer causes me no damage at close range. I don't really understand if the Fixer is bugged or the Crusader is bugged but, I sure do like to use it for tagging at some events and just for general use outside of events.

Bloody explosive cryo here too. I also have to be careful, not a pistol for close quarters. For some reason I always thought it was the cryo at fault, but I have not tested that assumption. Edit: just realized yours is pyro....

I like how you can not only use energy, but also 5.56 ammo on the Crusader as well 😁 I have an assassins explosive Crusader w/cryo rounds ATM- it is fun for plinking stuff 👍

I've been a fan of the Crusader for a bit now. Wasn't always that way, mainly because of no auto receiver option for 10mm. I have several great rolls. I'm a huge fan of the cryo option

Weird thing is I can't recall the Cold shoulder having this issue. Demolition expert boosts the damage but there is no splash damage.

they should add a 1911 .45 acp pistol to fallout 76, all the other pistols suck. or even add That Gun from fnv and have it use 5.56 with a mod that allows you to use .50 rounds

Vats and enemies not taking damage happens way too often. At least for me. Often takes the fun out of it especially when it ruins a sneak attack and wastes ammo. Also is it me or is energy damage from enemies in general, a tad bit more than usual. I’m getting downed almost instantly from enemies with energy based weapons. For example, was doing the surface to air event. The bots there were already taken out so just dealing with scorched I thought. Tanking hits as usual (no PA) and then a mythical flat woods monster appeared and one shot me from behind at full health. Like WTH. I’ve known them to be somewhat tough but not the “pulled a sneaky on ya” and one shot you type. Was full health with secret service armor.

Be interesting to see how well a bloodied variation would do possibly with a 50% crit damage roll on the second star and -25 vats cost could def pump.

I also have a bloodied explosive less vats as well, and it tears through them almost as fast. Crusader really is a nice gun.

Damn. I wish this had come out over the weekend, because I'd have bought the Fusion mod at Minerva's Big Sale instead of the Fire mod after watching this. Oh well, maybe I can make the Fire mod do well, but a silenced laser sounds like a ton of fun.

I saw they're adding energy damage cards under INT, which means energy weapons get a boost. Not sure if it'll make things better, but it's helpful. That also means Gauss Pistol might get some use.

I watched angry turtles videos, it apply’s to a few energy weapons, none from the heavy category, two from the melee category and more, I wish they added it to the guass minigun and a few other energy guns tho

I've done so many rolls to get a roll like your first example, only to be disappointed. I would love to see Bethesda do a "yield two pistols" perk...that would be glorious!

Honestly, Bethesda should really fix how we roll, and re-roll legendaries. Especially since the update now shows different stars, it'd be nice to be able to roll individual stars, and not just hope that our hard work will get something even remotely usable. Add to that the fact that these are completely untradable, and you could have my friend's luck, where he rolls Troubleshooter's, Hunter's, and Zealots, effects for his pistol build, and my heavy guns character ends up rolling an Anti-Armor, Explosive, Slower Breakage Crusader my first time around.

Dont forget the next update. Sci perks will give bonus energy damage. So you could have lots of bonus damage cards.

I'm actually unsure if the science perks will apply to the Crusader since it's considered a ballistic gun. It's been so long since the PTS, I can't remember if I tested that or not.

I carry two of these on me at all times. One bloodied (fusion) explosive silenced and one anti-armor (10mm) exp -25% action point no silencer. Both are amazing guns to use. Anti-Armor with a scope is incredibly good at long ranges, better and more accurate than most of my rifles.

It is a shame the plan for this gun is RNG or every great once in a while from Minerva. I really don't even see WHY, it definitely isn't game breaking, and there isn't a huge variety of end game pistols in the first place. Here is hoping the new 10mm variant supposedly releasing with the new season is good.

Will the Fusion Cell Crusader be affected by the new Science Perk update? That extra 30% damage would be real nice on an AA2525.

I'm not sure. It's considered a ballistic weapon, so it might not be. PTS was so long ago and I can't remember if I tested that or not. We should find out next week though.

Problem of all this "cool" "good" weapons that seem good with stupid and useless enemies but falls off when you need to do stuff like Earl... my railway rifle does bilions of damage against normal enemies, but when going in earl is just.. kinda... junk
