“Okie Dokie "
It is a long time since a show hooked me like this. I absolutely adored everything about the Fallout adaptation from Amazon Prime. I highly highly recommend you guys to watch the show, doesn't matter if you are not familiar with the game. It is funny, emotionnal, and really creative. I'd like to stress the fact that I found the timing of the comedy particularly fantastic in this show.
It's been a few months without videos, I've had trouble having enough passion for something to sit down and create a video for it but you can expect another one coming this week-end, probably on sunday.

With 8 Episodes, they captured all the of the good storytelling, lore and worldbuilding of the games without the overbearing open world and tedious crafting. 10/10. Then that Vegas tease. Mind blown.

The way she is changing but not changing is perfectly summed up by the scene where she comes out of the Super-Duper Mart after winning the battle in there against odds and finds the Ghoul lying on the ground nearly helpless. She dumps a handful of his drugs in front of his face, SNARLS "Golden rule, motherf*cker," and stalks off. She still has her principles, but she doesn't have to be pretend nice about them.

I love the fact alone that the writers didn't follow the same stong female super woman trope everyone does and actually made Lucy very naive and likable. Thought it captured the vault dweller personality perfectly. She had actual character growth and earned a little respect by the end of the show without being your typical right out the gate Mrs muscle

SAME!! She's exactly what an inexperienced someone who just got dragged into an insane post apocalyptic world would be like. She is very kind, and in the "Golden Rule, motherf.ker" scene, it cements that she's hardened by trauma, not naive anymore but she's STILL the Lucy we know deep down. The writers did an AMAZING job with her. In my opinion, she's the BEST part of the show.

Banger edit. I love you included my favorite line about just disagreeing about how. Because it shows like maximus being naive and hopeful at the same time. Amusingly the ghoul has the more right of it, even in all the chaos someone is still in charge.

That was incredible acting by the man, I just forgot his name, when his wife said, “By dropping the bomb ourselves.” The first time I watched it I was devastated. An absolutely incredible twist for the show.

The ending was quite clear, as is the story. Fallout 1, 2, and NV never existed. Which is fine for a TV show, just a good way to tell fans to get bent, like when Fallout 4 and 76 came out.

I like her and the actress. My impression is that her look slightly changes during the first season, from a healthy young woman to a more worn - out looking person with sickly skin color and a gaunt face. Radiation.

Amazing well written character with superb character development and great acting loved her in the show.❤ Anybody calling her mary sue is insane or just hates womajn than she was saved by her father in the first fight and was dragged by The Ghoul for half the episodes her development is the exact opposite of any mary sue trope she started out weak or at least heavily sheltered and naive and had to learn how brutal and relentless wasteland is and that you have to fight to survive here and have smarter survival intincts she also had to find out her father corruption and that her safety in the shelter was at the cost of a lot of people suffering and her father bombing city full of innocent civilians trying to restore civilization. So in summation she incredible well written and perfect example how to write complex woman characters also amazing tribute and great editing.❤

It really bothers me that everyone is assuming this show is "pushing the message" like most other recent TV shows like "rings of prime". It's such a shame because this show is so insanely good, it's kinda blowing my mind that they managed to adapt one of the hardest adaptable game worlds so perfectly. The dark humor, the violence, the weirdness, the music and atmosphere are all on point. The acting is great (except for maximus who is an extremely fem lgbt person irl and is trying to act straight, his feminine mannerisms shine through all the time which makes him seem like a worse actor than he is. In fact it's very impressive how much he changes his mannerims and character from his true self. It's just not enough). Lucy is to DIE for, those big cute eyes, that sweet face, her voice combined with a lawful good character which she herself describes as a mix of Lesly Knope and Ned Flanders .. it's just so perfect bro. And unlike other shows she's not constantly yapping about "the patriarchy" and how she's not a "baby making machine" .. she literally applies to the council for permission to have an arranged marriage. And is super excited to have a husband and children. The show is also completely derranged in the best possible way. Like when she comforts her cousin lover telling him that it was fun experimenting with her cousin but she needs a fertile man who isn't family so she can pump out children and "save america".. I love this show so much. And I'm someone that generally hates stuff. I'm like a professional hater. I alwasy find something to hate.

Great edit! You know what would be interesting, is a clip comparing Rey and Fin from Star Wars Force Awakens with Lucy and Maximus. I feel like their characters and relationships had a lot in common. It would be quite amusing to see some type of mixed edit combining the characters of the two films. You are so good at these edits, have you ever thought about mixing characters from different films into one another, like a "mashup?" I imagine it would be challenging but I bet you could pull it off.

Great video. Just finished Fallout today but I have one question if anybody can help me understand it? If vaults 31, 32, and 33 were all connected/ in contact with one another, how did vault 33 not know that vault 32 had fallen two years before opening it for Lucy?

I don’t think they had very frequent contact. And the story of a crop failure was probably to cover a long gap in communication

They mention at one point that the contact was "triannual," that is, every three years. Otherwise, the vaults were kept sealed as a security measure.
