That's called "show biz," buckaroo. Even as preposterous and outlandish as Fallout can be? It's not very likely that the Brotherhood of Steel... or anyone else for that matter....wouldn't have picked up on the T series power armor's flaws in 219 years. That's a huge span of time and a lot of post-Great War conflict for such a flaw to not have been revealed before Ghoulio did his O.K. Corral bit. So this is one T.V. "shoot em up" montage that was cool....until it just went stupid.

The NCR beat the BoS in full blown war back in the day, if anyone would know how to fight the brotherhood it would be the NCR. And it’s unlikely these are the final holdouts of NCR. NCR was gigantic, and even if the government fell NCR had ascended to being more a symbol than a physical thing, it’s much harder to kill a symbol than it is a flesh and blood human.

I think they are either adapting the Minutemen story or something like Lyon’s pride/Fallout 76 for season 2.

The Knights of this chapter were below average Brotherhood Standards, they went for quantity over quality. It's mentioned in the show by the Chapter leader that they needed to restructure because their forces were too weak. So yes they had flashlights but they didn't use them presumably because they're not trained or disciplined very well.

It does make sense. Since power armor was originally developed to basically make the user a walking tank so they could break through heavily fortified enemy lines. Can you really "both-sides" this, though? The BoS are the ones doing the invading and instigated the violence. Moldaver and the NCR remnants didn't start it. They were just defending themselves from aggression. Saying both factions are at fault is like claiming Ukraine is equally at fault for "starting" the current war. Russia/BoS are the ones who chose violence. Ukraine/NCR are merely reacting to that choice in this instance.

That’s the view the main villain uses when he says “I am no different than her”. The twist is that, yeah the NCR do genuinely want to turn the lights on and it’s a very bad thing this version of the Brotherhood wins. They even deliberately misdirect you by implying there’s a button she’s trying to press and I really did think it would be some giant monster. Only for it to be a surprise when she turns the lights on and Id say that’s how it’s presented. Hence Maximus reaction.

It's crazy that Cooper was originally a freakin' cowboy actor. A soldier as well, but still. Just a peaceful and morally good man who was pretending to be a badass for entertainment. Now he entertains himself by actually being a badass cowboy.

I don't know about being a Courier level threat, Cooper is a badass who can handle himself the best among the show but he's still small fry compared to the Courier. The Courier is able the maw down plenty of monsters and power armored soldiers like it's nothing. Coop had trouble dealing with a gulper.

Or it doesn't make sense that Nate wouldn't have brought this up or literally any soldier in the original BOS since all of them used the T-45. 2. The flaw only exists as far as we know in the T-45 and T-60 armor only (The T-60 is just an improved version of T-45), the Enclave never struggled with killing BOS Paladins in T-45 armor in Fallout 3 they were killing them with ease and in Fallout 2 the plasma weapons the Enclave had hard counter T-51B so at no point the Enclave needed to take advantage of this because their base weapons were more than powerful to negate needing precision aiming. 2.) Like the Brotherhood has never stopped to converse with an enemy or allow them to speak prior to combat? *Cough* FNV Veronica's Quest *Cough* Yeah no they got killed because the dude was a 200 year old War Vet hopped up on chems and using AP rounds with god tier aim going up against a bunch of fresh recruits and subpar Knights.

@@dedeferreira98 Cowboy perk affects all of the weapons you mentioned except the double barrel! Though in New Vegas, as an example, you can easily oneshot a low level human enemy with a break action shotgun without any perks even on Hardcore with the Guns skill not exceeding 40. So there's that.

If the Brotherhood had been using the T-51, which was a new project, the situation would have been much more complicated for him.

NCR is enemy of brotherhood and the NCR knows it as well

Brotherhood have always had a self inflated sense of importance and ego, courtesy of Bethesda sucking them off harder than a desperate femboy. One thing the show gets almost perfect is how the NCR was reclaiming the wasteland and how Shady Sands destruction was a genuine tragedy. Show makes them the unsung heros of Fallout and already, it's better than any story that has the Brotherhood as heros.

NCR removing Tandi and replacing with a plutocratic imperialistic leader with Brahmin Baron backing that started the war with the Brotherhood of Steel in the first place.

If I remember rightly the NCR was only able to do those things with a massive numbers advantage and they usually took heavy casualties doing so. It stands to reason that this particular garrison did not have the numbers or heavy weapons necessary to defeat a power armored force with light infantry support. While they might have caused some casualties among the supporting infantry without any means of eliminating the Knights there was little they could do.

with the shit BoS and NCR faced in couple decade is understandable they downgraded somewhere, Fallout 4 "assault rifle" Here actually realistic weapon of choice for power armored BoS knight as 556 ammo less complicated bto produced than fushion cell.

Weirdly we see quite a few laser weapons around but they are never fired for some reason.

That could be true, but I’m not entirely sure this is official NCR. Maybe a radical splinter group, namely because in the beginning with the raid on the vault, they were WAY more barbaric than the NCR usually is. They acted more like raiders or Caesar’s Legion. So, I’m hoping the flesh it out a tad more in the next season because it doesn’t make a ton of sense. I’m assuming they either stayed behind when the NCR pulled out against orders or Moldaver stayed with a handful of loyalists and recruited any random person they came across which wasn’t too far gone.

​@@RicoRaynnyou guys really need to stop bringing up the new vegas game, it's already confirmed it's not canon to the series and the original game, they are following the "bethesda canon" where NCR went on a nosedive after shady sands got blown up and ncr command got split into different groups, just like the ones in this series, they are called ncr remnants . Yes the place new vegas do exist but the story ending where ncr was victorious against the legion is no longer part of this canon story.

It was a direct hit from a missile. Sorry but power armour isn't going to stop that. Not t60 anyway.

West Virginia's BoS group kinda deserted though. At least in one of the endings of the questline. Rahmani says that Brotherhood ideals are becoming more and more bullshit and decides to focus on helping people instead of masturbating on toasters or whatever BoS usually does.

Yes, they are portrayed as amateurs in the entire series, thats not how I remember them..

Heh... these knights don't have proper power armor training, because most of them werent born in the brotherhood. The BOS was in such decline they were just desperate to put men in suits.

​@@gloryshadow8710thats explained in the show, most knights are just regular soldiers in armor, many of them cowards like Titus, even the elder says the current brotherhood is a shadow of its former self. They are just a bunch of wastelanders with cool armors.

I mean the characters in the show who fall over every other moment are untrained. Namely maximus. The characters who are trained only go down when they get hit by a missile or overwhelmed.

I'm just going to guess these brotherhood knights didn't really have good equipment in those suits

Bad equipment + Bad soldiers + panic - ghoul experience = ghoul victory.

Here's a more useful tidbit. You can talk shit all you want but the moment you're actually in the field of battle you will NOT be doing what you boasted you'd do.

Artillery require setup, that mean time. BoS Vertibird don't have rockets or missiles. Enclave vertibird do. Also they don't use doors because they have mounted minigun on the side for fire support. Enclave veritbird don't have side door Machine gun.
