When Max said he "remembers" when the bombs dropped. He remembers when A bomb dropped not THE bombs, but he doesn't know that either.

It's worth remembering that Maximus was raised in the wastes by a religious military organization that was oppressive and didn't teach him much of anything. It isn't his fault that he is ignorant. He's trying to be the best version of what he was raised to believe, but he's operating at a huge deficit.

So mean to Maximus, but reality is he’s right in nearly every situation and we’re the ones with misconceptions. This is Fallout. Whatever you think is happening is not actually happening.

Maximus I understand can be frustrating. But try a day in his shoes. He was raised by religious fanatics and never let him know more then he needs too. Like he didn’t know the basics of human anatomy. That is how shut in the shadows he is. Also when in the vault people kept eye contact and turn their head to look at a character even when they are all set them. That’s a call out to the games because the ai npc in the game all did that when they walked past you.

Maximus’ intelligence stat is super low but his luck stat is a 10, for sure😂😂

The thing (shown on the screen in vault 32 when Norm looked it up) you missed about vault 31 is, that all the leaders of vault 33 have always come from vault 31!

To answer you one of your questions, according to the games, there are more than 120 vaults.

God you're rough with Maxim! He is not stupid, he is young and lacks experience but he is learning, for example by having taken the armor he understood that power is not given, that certain things should remain secret ( his squire betrayed him the second he learned the truth about him)... All that remains is to find a balance so that he doesn't become a dictator and I think that's where Lucy comes in, with her natural kindness she will know how to protect him from the world and himself (even if deep down he is kind and the next episode proves it).

If you had played the games you'd have a different outlook on Maximus. There are perks or abilities in the game that your character can get and one is called Idiot Savant which Maximus likely has. It makes your character gain more experience the lower your intelligence is, they've kind of changed it in the show to him seeming to always come out on top even though he does stupid things. In the beginning of the show they basically told anyone who knows about these perks which ones Lucy has by her telling us what she was good at. They've also hinted and which ones the Ghoul has too.

I think you are being harsh on Maximus. He has a very different upbringing to Lucy. He was brought up in a military cult, so his experience is limited. Lucy on the other hand was brought up in a very "normal" life all things considered, but she is incredibly naive and is finding out much of her life is a lie. They are on a journey of discovery both of them, and they both have to learn their are different ways to act and interact with other people.
