Dont forget Fawks a person so good that even after being tormented by both humans while he was a human and super mutants while he was a super mutant he still decides to do the right thing. Yea Markus is good but that only happens after he got severed from the Master, while FAWKS has been a good guy since day 1 and even saves you from the enclave base you cant tell me Fawks shouldnt be on this list over fallout 76 overseer like cmon she really just completed her vault experiment. Lets be honest id rather sacrifice myself than be a mutated super monster that get tormented endlessly by both human being and supermutants "both my kind" then proceed to tag along with the LONE WANDERER a complete psychopath on his insane quest battling the enclave over clean drinking water.

Im new to fallout so idk which ones are the canon choices/options but i don’t see why any protagonist will be a psychopath… it’s like GTA, in V there’s actually like only 5 missions where you have to wack someone but no one asks you to demolish pedestrians. So just like in GTA, fallout could work as a psychoanalysis of the player, if you’re mediocre the character isn’t mediocre you just made him like yourself.

Because clearly they would have a better understanding of how to use that vs you a dumb teenybopper with daddy issues.

@@TotallyNotKanye What? Trevor is a literal psychopath serial killer, Michael is a professional hitman and thief. You could argue Franklin isn't evil, but he's still pursuing money at the cost of everyone else. He is still incredibly greedy and narcissistic. There isn't a single way to go through GTA V by avoiding their crime or psychopathy. You have to understand driving through a city centre at 180MPH is psychotic and evil, regardless of how many people Franklin may not have shot in the face. Besides that, you have more than 5 missions where you have to kill people. There's dozens.

Again, i don’t truly think you understand and you’re like no offense using a 8 year old thinking cause yeah they’re criminals but different… it’s like DD the ignorant will be against mules even but the thing is that that thing is not hurting people, people hurt themselves when they want with certain stuff they put in their own bodies it’s a choice, bank robbery etcetera for some people is ethical/morally correct just as stealing from corps imo it’s the working class hypocrisy and double morals. I think the entire gang of the Atom Cats should be included. They are particularly powerful with their Power Armor but instead of turning to raiding they help the common folk of the commonwealth like farmers.

Good video, I like that buddy bot fella. Though I disagree with the addition of Three Dog, first of all, he sends a 19 year old fresh out of the vault lone wanderer who's looking for his father to a super mutant infested area to retrieve his dish, which realistically he would have no way of surviving. If he was so morally good he probably would have just told the LW where his father went without sending him to a death trap. Secondly he reports on a story without knowing the full picture and slanders the LW's good name. On the mission "Tenpenny Tower", if you let the ghouls in, they will kill all the residents after 3 days or so. If you return to the tower and get revenge on them for murdering people (mostly Dashwood) Three Dog will go on his show and talk about how the LW is a prejudiced murderer... Three Dog is still pretty cool though, and I agree with your other points. But I still really enjoyed this video, I will subscribe and will be looking forward to any future videos you make.

@@FalloutLorecast Idea if you haven't already. You could do like 5 minute lore dumps about certain things, make them a bit snazzy based around an ingame character. Like 'Lorecast Logs' or something, even detail a little bit that indicates where to find the cool thing. So instead of doing it like these episodes it would be like a scavenger leaving notes around about cool stuff they've found but couldn't get to. Or something as simple as uploading the lore dumps you've made as holotapes/radio station. Good way to get more eyes directly on your stuff when people are adding audio mods.

Fallout 76 also brought us the only Pre-War politician that I would characterize as a good person: former Senator Sam Blackwell. He tried to be a whistleblower against Vault-Tec and the Enclave and actively fought against the automation of all jobs within his constituency. These two things ultimately led to his death.

Dogmeat is just the bestest boy who will always be there for you, never judge or criticize your actions! other companions you take with you just to get their perk, Dogmeat you take with you because he's such a good boy (though who on earth came up with his name, it's horrible! he deserves something much better!) As to the robots, it was best surmised by the mechanoid Kryten from the British series Red Dwarf, when asked by the Inquisitor to "justify" his existence, the conversation runs thusly INQUISITOR: But surely your life is replete with good works. There can be few individuals who have lived a more selfless life. KRYTEN: But I am programmed to live unselfishly. And therefore, any good works I do come not out of fine motives but as a result of a series of binary commands I am compelled to obey. INQUISITOR: Well then, how can any mechanical justify himself? KRYTEN: Perhaps only if he attempted to break his programming and conduct his life according to a set of values he arrived at independently. So if the 2 robots are just following their programming, which they seem to be, then that is not being "good" as they don't have a choice, only if they decide on their own, separate from whatever they were programmed to do can their actions be called "good"

You codsworths owner he's programmed to you yet will "walk away" after berthing you about how you've changed showing he can and does go beyond his programing at some point he's broken his programming and moved past it to free will

I have travelled with him very little, mainly helping the minutemen and doing things he likes to get his skill before packing him off to Graygarden and that's about it! Consequentially I've never experienced him doing anything like that so cannot comment. Regardless, it is difficult to judge if he is simply following values he has been programmed with or following his own morals? After all, in reality he is a character acting as he is programmed to act by the writers of the game and responding how he is programmed to respond, just like everyone else @@kentcreed3414

Besides, this is the world of Fallout, not reality (civilization has collapsed) so morality should not be overtly worshipped. You cannot eat or drink supreme moral high ground.

Being a good person can build trust and human connections, which has benefits in all situations. Like building relationships with others who can help provide food, safety, and other needs. The choice to set aside morality is always a gamble.

@@FalloutLorecast I have the same beliefs than you. However, there is a difference between how the world used to be before October 23, 2077 and how it is after that day. In the beginning of some video that describes the FROST mod, it is well said "we have all done unthinkable acts. Anyone who is still alive has done them". World after nuclear apocalypse is in some respects like a war zone. It is a brutal, sorry existence. Human can be a total animal under certain circumstances. We should be grateful to God we never saw a post-apocalyptic world in our lifetime.

@@FalloutLorecast Also, if we are too ambitious with trust and human connections, it eventually goes into politics. That then gets corrupted. That is not a sweet world either. It is a miracle New California Republic took place and they are not absolute good guys either though I would still choose to live under them than under Caesars Legion.
