Pretty much every battle royal game is like that it seems. There is no middle ground, no casual fun space for those that want that, but aren't terrible. So once you're not terrible, you automatically get put with super tryhards, with no middle ground and no choice. Naraka is no different in that regard.. I'm still on quick match though, haven't reached lvl50 and ranked.. But from other games, once you reach ranked, you rank up pretty fast and then you're back with the tryhards. This indicates usually that ranked is really just 2 levels, newbs and everyone else. Some games are even worse (Fortnite comes to mind), and if you're in any way decent at the game, you get put with the tryhards immediately, and almost everyone are super sweat dripping tryhards with thousand of hours.. For middle ground casual players like myself, this doesn't work out, as you can't match with players at your own mid level, despite there being many of those kind of players. And I don't want to dedicate myself to a battle royal game so much either.. Fine I'll play it quite alot, but it's still with the intent of casual play, be it at a decent level or above average.. Just not with terrible players and dedicated tryhards, but those are the only opponents you get.

The game is free through epic games rn, I'm not sure if it'll stay that way but you should get it to at least own it

That's why I stopped playing. It was mostly bots. Great game though. Been saying it should be free to play for a while, so hopefully that changes things.

I beieve it's by design. The fresher your account, the more bots there wilol be in the match. It's designed that way I beieve so that newer players to the game and genre can ease into actual matches and the like. As your account levels up, more people (and more skiled people at that) will be in those lobbies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I got this info directly from the game itself. A loading scree tip.

@@OnAMoonlitPath That's how it's supposed to work, but there just isn't a playerbase. I was in the highest rank tier and it was still almost all bots, especially if you're on late at night. It should get better with ps5 and FTP but I don't know by how much. Even PC doesn't have a healthy pbase, you see them queuing for 15 minutes or longer during peak hours and then starting with only 35 people lobbies AND there's still bots when you have bot fill off. The game's great but there's no marketing, so no playerbase. Hopefully it changes.

Actually, there is an option to reduce the chance/number of bots in the game.. Don't remember the name of the option, but once I switched it, it changed, and now it's mostly human players. You can notice the bots on their behaviour in the game generally. It's not so difficult to tell the difference between a bot and a regular player. If you turn the bots off generally (with the option), the matchmaking will take a bit longer, but the game will be more enjoyable. Bots also depend on your level I think, the ones you meet in the beginning are ridiculously weak, but the ones you get at a higher level have a kind of annoyingly perfect timing (counter etc) in fights, but it's their behaviour that still gives them away.

They have some weird campaign mode that only runs on weekends. It's really about the battle royale multiplayer. You can run bot only lobbies tho.

Perhaps there is an option for that in a session, but in the audio options, you can turn down game chat volume as much as you want, including 0..

You should try out other games. I was once addicted and when I started enjoying a variety of games, I realized how awesome other games are. Rather than nonstop grinding for loot lol

I was once on your shoes brotha, I had like 4k hours put in. And mainly crucible at that.. so you know how much I loved it considering how much they have ignored pvp and I still stuck around then my friend showed me apex and I broke free from the curse. It feels good

@@tonymontoya3629 me and you have a lot in common. I’m at 4K hrs mainly into pvp but I’ve been trying out all kinds of games I missed out on when I was addicted to only D2. I’ll have to try out Apex

You're fucked if you don't have back paddles, but the movement and combat are really good. Extremely high skill ceiling. Look up PastDue or c7sper if you want to see what people can really do with combos.

As with actual fighting games, you need time to get used to the movement techs and various advanced tips of the combat. Once you've practiced the various movement and defnsive tech, the game feels really good. IMO it felt really good to lear it on PS5. I can just taste the depth of the combat and I'm only scratching the surface. Then again, I'm the type to really not mind the path to mastering a game (or gitting gud) Others may not have the patience and it may not be the game for them. However, there's a fun PvE mode and you can go against bots in the actual BR mode. Easy Medium and Hard settings for the bots. This also allows you to progress your level and get treasure and stuff too so it won't lock you out of prgression just cuz you arent fighting humans.

@ninatote6426 Use quick parry button. Can only parry blue attacks. Gotta either try to predict them or react very quickly.

It's pretty good for a battle royal game. Battle royal games generally have super clunky and primitive game mechanics and combat, but Naraka seems a bit of an exception to that rule.

Gave them to a charity shop, because nobody is going to buy 28 year old science textbooks. But I spent a lot of money on them! Games get cheaper after release. This one has gone cheap as free. No doubt a sensible choice for a PvP game since it needs a player base to keep going. This move will ensure that the game you spent your money on will continue to provide you with joy by maintaining player numbers.

Nah, the combat is actually pretty extensive. Look up pastdue or c7asper. Skill gap is extremely high in this game.
