No ground guides in urban combat. Great way to get hit by a sniper and Fallujah was full of them.

It's just the angle of the camera. If you look at their feet position all the guys are along the side of the road while machine gunner is on the road behind them with his mg fixed down the road as they cross so he can cover! Hope that helps.

Standard issue at the time (2004), the m4 and its variants weren't really standard till the early 2010's iirc, and neither the mp5 nor m870 are used much if at all. Though you could see they started using the ACOG by then.
