Family Camping - Sandon River

Sandon River Campground is about 2hrs south of Byron Bay, or 2hrs north of Coffs Harbour. The campground is run by National Parks and bookings are made online via the website. The spots are medium to large in size, but they do vary. The camp kitchen and other amenities are well looked after. The beach and river offer great fishing and paddle boarding. We highly recommend a visit.
There is bowls club and general store near by.

2:13 :Fun fact that wooden statue is a statue in memory of my dad ❤ who passed away from Brain Cancer in 2016, Sandon was his favourite place and made friends with everyone. ❤

Wow. Sorry to hear about your Dad, but he certainly knew a good spot when he saw one. Sounds like you had some great times there. What a beautiful spot.

Mate great video we had a house on the far bank for more than 50 years and Sandton River once in the blood is the fondest memories.. Thank you fir your great reminder of how lucky I’ve been

Mate, always used to camp at Brooms head, but this is heaps better I wish i'd looked further south, i only looked from a distance
