I'm from Michigan and just recently discovered your channel and it absolutely brightens my day, I travel a lot and get called out all the time about where I'm from and this channel makes me homesick!!

A few years back my buddy brought his boat that was at his Michigan place for about a year. He was too hungover so I took it out. About an hour later I saw a mouse 🐭 appear from the stern. Flicked it out into the water and looked away and heard a splash. No mouse. Well eventually the whole damn family came out and each one only lasted about 30 seconds until they disappeared with a good size blowup. I learned something that day!🎣🎣

I live in Ohio now, but I introduced my husband to the Apple Holler on I-94 in Sturtevant one visit up to Wisconsin, and he fell in love. One time, we were up visiting on a Friday, and at dinner there that night, almost everyone at the table ordered the fish because it's Friday, and this is what we Wisconsinites do (even us Baptists have to get in on Fish Fry Fridays!). My husband, normally a big eater, was shocked when the older lady family friend who joined us out-ate him on the fried fish and then told him that what she ate was nothing compared to some people the real fish fries she's been to!

Scott Bessemer. Do you remember the old life boats that would take you from Macatawa Park out to the piers (they weren’t connected to land then) to fish for perch with a long cane pole and a bobber? My dad had a small boat that we would take to Lake Michigan and fill up a 5 gallon bucket with perch in two hours.

Fishing in the Rusk county area is legitimately TERRIBLE this year. Still thankful for the Rod & Gun crew who set me up with some nice accessories for drinking on the pontoon, though.

I’ve been fishing for more then ten years,my suggestion is to use your jerky as a bait ,and the key is to smoke them for an extra hour.

Charlie, you named a lot of Alaskan fish there...I’ve caught many, just look at my pic. Feed the family all winter with some tasty smoked salmon to boot. Come up and I’ll teach whatcha do.oh by the way I ran out of freezer space and it’s a separate freezer!
