Family fun in Galveston (family of 9!)

We had so much fun visiting the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum in Galveston! It had so many hands on activities for the kids, and so much to look at. It was also just amazing to be able to get out of the bus and move around with all the bad weather we've had the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately, because of the bad weather, the outdoor portion of the museum was closed, and it looked like a lot of fun, hopefully we can come back and see the outside portion on our next trip to Galveston!
Back at the bus the next day, the weather was fairly decent, so Michael took the kids to the park while I (Sabrina) baked some gluten free bread and some gooey avocado brownies. In the middle of my quiet baking time, the whole family arrived back from the playground and set up a board game at the table to play.... which made it a not so quiet baking time, but I got it done, and got to watch the rest of the family enjoy their time together!

Can you fit a normal sized cookie sheet in that toaster oven? We're considering getting a top burner and toaster oven instead of a reg stove but I'm just not sure.

No, not quite. I found a deep stainless steel lasagna size pan on Amazon that fits perfectly in it. I bought 2 of them and I use them for everything: cookies, biscuits, roasting a chicken, casseroles, you name it!

What a great museum y'all visited in Galveston. I took a look on the website and there is a virtual tour for anyone that wants to have a look. It seemed the Boyd's had the whole museum to themselves, maybe it was because of the bad weather. I forgot that y'all had been to Galveston in the past, from looking back at some older videos. I think Galveston is one of your favorite places in America. Especially the beach which never seems to end. And I thought you could walk the whole beach when I asked in the comments on an older video. 🏖 And then Sabrina has some quiet time to do some baking on the bus, but then the family comes back from the park. But apart from the loud hellos to the camera they play games at the table and then eat some of the avocado brownies. I assume they all liked it. 🟫 😋

The heaters in the museum weren’t working, so with the weather it was quite chilly in there! We had emailed ahead and knew that, which was why we were all bundled up! But it definitely would have been a deterent to anyone else wanting to visit!
