Your teens are a trip!!!! I laughed throughout the whole vlog! I loved Emma asking a total stranger how to "bake" dinner", Jake and Savannah doing the"buggy boogey" and Arianna and Hannah with their "family choices" and their own special stockpiles! Max and Luke the "clueless duo", who forgot about the entire family, except themselves. I did learn that "hitting curbs is a normal part of driving" and that Max and Luke bought food that was mostly for "later". The red goldfish "taste different" and when you're shopping and get hungry, you buy two dozen doughnuts! LOLOLOLOLOLO...good job guys!

That was a great learning curve for all the kids, and Emma has beautiful eyes too so nice to see her joining in the fun xoxo

I have a challenge for y’all. I think you should try a “no sugar week” grocery haul. Because, WOW that was a lot of sugar. Fruit, and fruit juice (no sugar added) are fine. I realize there were duplicate items as all meals were not planned out in advance. When you do the grocery shopping, what is the average cost to totally feed your family per week? All said and done, the kids did a great job. And, yes indeed, your children are processing a lot of information while accompanying their parents during outings. So fun seeing the older kids do the grocery shopping for the family. Maybe next time fun activity since you're doing it per team you can assign them tasks. Like one team for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, deserts, condiments/pasta,/bread and essentials to avoid duplicate stuff. Emma is beautiful. I can see her closeness with Halie. Can't wait for them to be officially adopted. Max and Lucas is so funny, not listening to the instructions. Jake and Savannah, the dancing and chill duo. I’m glad I realised as a teen that being picky with food is totally unnecessary. Made me able to enjoy all of mom’s home cooked food everyday until I moved out when I turned 18. I still miss mom’s food, it’s just never the same cooking myself!

So good that you started where they were. Great learning includes mistakes. Now you have a good foundation to build on. They will remember the choices made and what they could improve. Its not about telling kids all you know and "My way is the right way."

Next challenge should be to plan a whole meal, using a cookbook (or online recipe site), for each of them to prepare. My son loved doing that each week, we would find an appetizer, main course, two side dishes, dessert and beverage from a cookbook, then shop for all ingredients, and make the meal together. He is 46 now and his wife loves that he can make a meal out of anything and it's always good.
