@MrGepeto1998 well they didn't just throw money at that, they were granted additional funding/resources to produce those. I believe the reason they did the first one, though I could be wrong, was due to a writer's strike going on at the time.

The joke at the end about David Hyde Pierce being in Stewie is a reference to an old episode of Family Guy (an anniversary special). In that episode, the creator of Family Guy, Seth Mcfarlane, interviewed a woman who thought (mistakenly) that the voice of Stewie was done by David Hyde Pierce. Seth enjoyed that a lot.
