Family members reached out to KHOU 11 News because they were worried that their loved ones wouldn't survive in the heat.

All long term care and assisted living facilities should be required to have back up generators!!!

My mom uses a CPAP machine! She has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and needs the machine to breathe. Screw you guys at CENTERPOINT! My mom needs electricity to run her machine. It’s too hot! Elderly people cannot tolerate this heat.

Once again the STATE needs to enforce basic logical things like generators at ALL facilities that care for Children OR Elderly , once again the STATE has failed terribly. Voting is coming up yall time to vote for what actually affects people.

We definitely have laws about denying Air-conditioning to seniors in Texas. Bring the hammer down on offenders even the power company executives should be in court.

Wait…I thought these types of facilities were required to have generators 😳😳😳😳. Also, them calling the fire department to bring their residents downstairs is a waste of community resources and basically 911 abuse. Firefighters need to be available for fires, not to bring your tenants up and down stairs be a you failed to invest in a generator.

Texas State Legislature need to make it a law to have a generator that powers the whole building. The generators need to be inspected before the summer and before the winter before their Business Operating permits are renewed.

For a high-rise like this one, probably a generator for every floor would be needed. Along with maintenance. Very costly.

If you’re voting for a Gov to get rid of Democracy, I don’t feel sorry! We need a gov for the people! If this elderly home was for rich people, they would’ve been had the power on! The day and time we live in is Rich vs Poor People! Rich people needs are taken care of and Poor people suffer!🤷‍♂️
