We are a family of 7, our 5th child was born TODAY! We live in a 21' yurt. (350 sqft). We are building out dream home on our farmstead, with logs from the land. We should be braking ground for the foundation within the month. I am a Carpenter-General Contractor by trade and will be building the home myself with my crew and friends. Lord willing it will go smoothly. After living in the yurt for 4 years not, we are ready to have a normal home again. We have loved your Channel for many years and it has brought us so much inspiration and knowledge. We had seven in our family, one bathroom. One bedroom for boys, one for girls. Parents turned the pantry off the dining room into their bedroom. The house was plenty big and quiet by the time mom passed away.

We had 7 people with an indoor shower outdoor dunny. For 5 yrs when I was a kid. 70’s. Mum used to shine the torch for us in the middle of the night so we could go pee at the bottom of the stairs as the dunny was not close to the house. All the while making sure there were no deadly snakes about…Australia 😀

Even when the floor is covered by the time all the subcontractors finish sand will get under the paper. My husband's a contractor,I have seen it a hundred times. schedule the floor to be reclear coated when everyone has finished. It's just the way it is

Are you not concerned with the lettering on the ram board floor protection staining your new floor? I would not flip it lettering down.

At the beginning of the video you said tape was hard to get off if it was on for a while. If you use either rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer it makes it not sticky any more!

Oh, I don’t know about that urinal in the boys bathroom. I have cleaned schools and the boys bathroom urinals are always, always stinky, no matter how good of a job I did cleaning it. Hopefully that wouldn’t be an issue with your urinal.

Paint colors are sweet! Is the baseboard throughout a grey color or taupe color? Can’t quite tell from the lighting, but love it!!

Why don’t the trades use those plastic over shoes. Just like plastic covers for their shoes. Or make them take their shoes off policy. That’s what we do during finishing new properties. Sure would save all that cardboard and tape. 👍❤️👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

My father grew up in a bathroomless shack similar to your father. His home became the chicken's shack. I snickered whenever he told me he grew up in the chicken shack.

We just redid our bathroom….same tile, but ours has rich blue veins running through with the gray and white!!!

Half my older two children's life was spent living in a remodeling project. The space was finally done and perfect for 4 then our "oops" baby came (older two were preteen/teen of opposite gender so no room sharing). The little was a holy terror, his Brother adored him and was willing to share space but I wasn't that cruel 😁
