Before I get into my reply I just want to make it clear these are my opinions and I don't intend to disrupt your faith at all. I simply wish to share my own perspectives and thoughts on the matter. Having said that... God does what God needs to do to carry out His plan. Whatever it may be. As humans, we lack the capacity to understand what His plan is. It's far beyond our understanding. We can pray, and ask for things, but in the face of His plan, our desires are not a priority. That's not to say He doesn't care, or want to help. He just can't without severely disrupting things. Say I wanted some girl to live me, but she was with someone who was better for her. Who am I to ask God to go against her wishes and make her love me instead? That's not exactly in her best interests. And what if she prays to be back with her old bf again? That puts God in a really tight spot. His plan is just far more important than our desires, and sometimes even our needs in the grand scheme of things. That's always how I've dealt with the issue of why a good God let's bad things happen. In part. The universe is a literal chaotic system where making one small change causes massive and unpredictable changes to what happens. The butterfly effect. If God answered all of our prayers, that would throw everything into disarray and make His job of carrying out His plan that much harder. We often (but not always) pray for something because it gives us a sense of control over the uncontrollable aspects of life and reality. Humans are terrified of not being in control of their life. And we delude ourselves in many ways to deny this difficult truth. Myself included. I am human, after all. Please don't mistake this as me pretending I'm holier than thou. These are just my own beliefs as a non-Christian, nonabrahamic believer in God. Though I do enjoy parts of the Bible. Just not the weird parts. Like the part where after his wife was turned into a pillar of salt, Job's daughters got him drunk and rated him because they wanted to have children. It's always really weird and unnerving to be reading the Bible and all of a sudden something like this happens without warning. It feels so wrong and out of place. But these are just my opinions. They could be wrong. I would love to believe that God answers our prayers. And for all I know, He does, and I'm just too much of a "dumb human" to notice. I mean, there are many things He does which we are oblivious to. Anyway, I hope this has been insightful for you at the very least. The last thing I want to do is to disrupt your own faith. If it works for you, who am I to tell you otherwise? I just don't get a lot of opportunities to talk about it without people thinking I'm insane.
@VoidHalo3 ай бұрын
Just so it's not lost in my ramblings. I want to wish you and yours all the best. Whatever you beliefs, I'm glad they work for you, and I hope they continue to work for you for the rest of your life with your faith always being rock solid. God bless.

Unfortunately a river bank of a fast moving river isn't the same as a lake shore with shallow water that you can wade into. May sound odd to some but children in particular need life jackets if they're going to be in these areas.

I'm sorry for your broken heart as well as theirs. But in order to lose something you must not know where it or them are at in oder for it be considered lost. You didn't lose your husband nor them their family members you know where they are I HOPE.!!It may help some to know they aren't lost and you know where they are. When words like loss or lost are spoken it's almost always in a negative form so you associate those words with something not good. I hope you understood what I was trying to convey to you and not take me as being disrespectful I hope you see what I meant. Bless You!!!

Child that age should always be wearing a pfd when near the water and this is why.

Raised 8 children by 2 major rivers on the east coast , never once had any of them wear a pfd. Matter of fact, neither did ANYONE else in our community.
