Nancy L.T. Hamilton shows you how to do "Fancy" riveting in jewelry, including making a screw rivet and a dimpled rivet.
The set of four riveting tools is by Tim Lazure at: timlazure.com/?page_id=29
The tool I use to make the nail heads is a Gauge for drill bits and screws. Here is the link at Micro-Mark: www.micromark.com/gauge-for-dr...

Speaking of rivets, I remember many moons ago in junior high metal shop watching my teacher show the use of common flat head nails as a rivet on a spatula project. I was so impressed that it's stuck with me 30+ years later.

Hi Salkis, I'm assuming that you are talking about the drill bit/screw gauge? I've posted the link under the video in the information area. Micro-Mark carries them. KZfaq doesn't allow links to be posted in comments so, here's a variation of the link that they will accept: micromark (dot) com/gauge-for-drill-bits-and-screws,6480.html. I need to go to the hardware store to purchase one of those steel plates you used. I'll need to play your video again before I go so I have the name of the tool. Hi Renee's Mom! Thank you so much. I think learning should be entertaining - otherwise, we all fall asleep and don't learn a danged thing. I know, I slept through geometry class in school (among others) and now, as a somewhat adult person, am really irritated with my teacher. \Who would have thought that I'd actually need that knowledge? Not me or her, apparently. Ah well... Thanks bunches, great holiday to you and yours. Take care. Nancy

Hi Nancy, When you want to use balled rivet, how do you keep the ball from changing shape? You can not set it on any thing hard to hammer the other side, so do you use some thing that is con caved?

@phpoland You're welcome. It is not actually a wheel but a sanding disk made by Moore. Since we can't add links here, I'll try to type it so you can find it. You'll need to delete the spaces. A company in Oakland, Ca - Otto Frei carries them. I'm sure there are other suppliers. That link is (kinda): ottofrei. com /store /home. php?cat = 784

Hello Nancy. My name is Andres and i'm from New York. I have a stainless steel mens bracelet that uses small rivet or rivet-like pins that push in through each other thru either side of the link in order to hold it in place. this one particular pin has fallen out 3 times and i found myself paying an exorbitant amount for each repair. I have tirelessly tried finding the part on my own for months with no success. Please tell me where i can find this part. If you need pics let me know. Thanks

@Bonitomio Hi D Shane, First off thanks! Second: I got my large anvil from Harbor Freight and my small one from Rio Grande Jewelry. I'd post links but You Tube won't allow it here. You can email me from my website for longer, more detailed info. Flex shaft - a cheap version that I use is from Harbor Freight. Rio Grande sells (and I also use) a better quality one from Foredom. I've never heard of the Carvemaster. But, it's for wood, I bet and may not have enough oomph for metal. email me. N
