I was presently surprised by how awesome this game was, I knew Dark Souls was cool, but Bloodborne is definitely cooler, the atmosphere, the music, the cinematics, the bosses, the story, all really really awesome! this game gets a 9,5. 0,5 points shy of a 10 because the game has some bugs and glitches here and there, but not enough to not love it.

After extensive research, it's actually "Level up HP until you're able to tank everything."

Play the first one again. It's seriously the best out of all three, despite some of it's serious flaws. Just look up on upgrading and covenants (because they are badly explained) and you should be good to go. Also: stay away from the dragon tail sword.

Keep at it. Once you get the hang of it, you'll blast right through most areas.

Don't give up! Eventually something just kinda "clicks" and while you don't become invincible, you begin to understand the game and how it flows. Then you begin to occasionally perfect even the harder enemies, dancing around them like Muhammad Ali.

Hit and dodge, and don't try to take on multiple enemies at once because you will die. Also if you see a different type of enemy standing around without attacking you, talk to them without attacking because they're an ally.

Velstadt, The Royal Aegis You didn't miss much on the PvP side. It was a mess. There was a weapon that would reduce item durability when it hit so you could break your opponent's armor/weapons with enough hits, there was a spell that would drain soul levels if it hit, there was basically infinite healing since this was before the Estus Flask system was introduced and healing items were instead drops and farmable, etc... I loved Demon's Souls on the PvE side, but the PvP was a hot mess.

I liked Dark 1s PvP... Still play it today.

That's fine by me. I honestly never used shields in any of the souls games before. Since I never learned to party I always felt shields were more of a hindrance and made you pull a zelda (hold your guard up for 30 seconds circling Til they make an attack then counter attack) I got into the habit of being very aggressive and dodging through attacks just to make sure I hit them more and kill them faster... I felt right at home in bloodborne. Still didn't use the guns though.... At first I did. But by the time I reached the spider at burgenworth, I rarely used the guns. Heck. In new game plus I only use the bullets to apply the effects from those items onto my weapons.

VejyMonsta it's not that's too hard - i'm sure i'd beat it eventually - but dying a lot really ruins it for me in general.

I had no experience playing any game in the Souls series and Bloodborne was the game that popped my cherry so to speak. I won't lie to you and say that, "It's not THAT hard, you get used to it fast!" because it's not. I mean, you do get used to it ("git gud") and you do gain the skill level to hold your own with any enemy (except those Winter Lanterns, fuck those things). Ultimately, the first area pisses you off if you're not someone experienced with the Souls series (like I was), but if you truly want to have a worthwhile experience that will be forever held dear in your heart...that suffering will be worth it. I recommend watching EpicNameBro who plays the entire game and worked on the Official Bloodborne Guidebook, if you plan on buying a PS4 this Christmas. I really hope you consider this game though! It may be nerve-wracking, but that doesn't compare to the satisfaction of killing what pissed you off consistently.

Yup, same for me. Never gave souls a shot and jumped in at bloodborne only to fall in love with it. Hard to go back to any other rpgs or any game for that matter. Souls 3 in a month and maybe bloodborne 2 in a few years. I'll be able to die happy.
