Split is really the only practical way to play multiplayer, unless you can play online for free. You already bought the game once, so your shouldn't have to keep paying for it. Split screen is also good for visiting friends and family.

And despite the Shine Sprites being a source of light and power for the island, no one attempts to arrest that merchant that's obviously selling them illegally for a couple of coins. 5. Princess Peach doesn't sends her army to quickly decimate the entire island. Yoshi appears...and quickly disappears as you miss that last jump and fell in the water. 6. And many more. On the bright side, the game gives you the BEST REWARD EVER for 100 percenting the game.
