La Garde Republicaine as French as French cooking. This more a feast for the ears and eyes. Keep France French , this from one of your Canadian cousins. Vive La France.

A grand and noble institution of the French Army that helps recall past glories. I wish they would use the Cuirassier uniforms of Napoleon I's time, however, instead of Napoleon III. Thank you for this very interesting video. Vive la France!

I have painted some 1,700 25mm figures of Napoleonic Wars soldiers of France, Austria, Russia, Britain, and Bavaria, but I still have several hundred others waiting for attention1 I have Napoleon and his Staff, and I have French cuirassiers, carabiniers, dragoons, hussars, and lancers among those done. The Band of the Household Cavalry plays on horseback. However, the Fanfare de Cavalerie de la Garde Republicaine plays at the walk and at the trot, while the Band of the Household Cavalry only plays at the walk.
