They were the Fania All Stars, musicians from Puerto Rico, Cuba, DR, etc.. the best of the best when it comes to 1970's Salsa they put Salsa on the map and YES Internationally known... My all time fave singer Hector Lavoe check out their concert in Africa. Love this reaction and how you appreciate the musicality without understanding the lyrics.

Fania was a record label that grouped all those masters... jorge santana is the brother of Carlos santana, the one at Woodstock, most of the musicians where born in New York and Puerto Rico.

Yes CARLOS SANTANA WASat Woodstock 1969 That was his debut in woodstock But his brother was also a beast They both started in traditional Spanish 🎸

"El Ratón" The Rat is a song about a guy who sneaks away to party, and the rat is who informs his "kitten" about his extracurricular activity. Tha chorus says, " from any bush, a rat can come out (appear). The moral, "he who tells, is nothing more than a rat. You picked a winner. 😂❤

hi, bro, the band was Fania All Stars from NY. singer Jose Cheo Feliciano and electric guitar Jorge Santana, perfomanced at Yankee Stadium in august 1973. nice reaction my friend.

It's amazing how Jorge & Carlos play the guitar, have the same sound and were always connected with their Latin roots, this time with mostly Puerto Rican Musicians from Fania.

You need to check out his brother Carlos you will be blown away, Jorge also played with "MALO" you will love them too as well as AZTECA, DAKILA, SAPO, COLD BLOOD TOWER OF POWER, AVERAGE WHITE BAND, the list goes on of great 70's bands

Yo! This was a treat! Just a little back game on the Fania label. They were to the NY Latin community, what Motown was to Detroit. So much talent and they had an original sound like this banger! Jorge Santana was the brother of the more famous Carlos Santana. He was the leader of his group El Chicano. They didn't have the global recognition that Santana's group did but they were dope too! i believe they were born in Mexico but They both grew up San Francisco. Jorge was not with Fania but appeared as a guest. I'm from the Bay, so I heard a lot of both these guys. Pops raised me on Latin Rock, Salsa and classic Soul. This song packs all those genres into one amazing sound!

GREAT COMMENT! I didn't realize Carlos & Jorge were 2 diff people until after I did the reaction and finally decided to google Carlos🤦🏿‍♂️😂 . But it looks like it ran in the fam because Jorge was AMAZING during this performance! Everything you said was 100 and I'm from Detroit so I can imagine the impact Fania Records had on the Bay Area. This song literally made me feel like I was transported back to the Bronx in 1974!

George santana may have been carlos santanas brother. This fania Allstars are the best of the best salsa artist that put on a special show each year. Kinda like the baseball altar game. All of these were the best. Hector Lavoe, Barretto on congas, roberto roena on bongos . The best of each vocal and instruments.
