Let's be honest for a sec, if OG Sans didn't use literally every drop of his mana for the final attack of phase 2, he probably could have held out for a phase 3. Odds are there wouldn't have been a cool final attack, he probably would have just gotten hit and died outta no where, but he could have caused us even more pain if he wanted.

The moment i saw the gaster blaster I would have given up

There’s only one “phase two” concept for sans I can get behind. Already we can see he isn’t a normal monster. His attacks do damage multiple times a second, his sentry post is seemingly in a quantum superposition, he dodges your attacks and a bunch of weird science stuff. It’s a rather simple concept, rather than dying right after you hit him, he extends the moment of his death through quantum mechanics or something so he can last just a little bit longer. Of course in the end it wouldn’t do anymore good than what he’d already been doing, but oh well, it was worth a shot. Doesn’t even need to be as long or fast as the first fight. Just a slow and kinda sad fight, the more you hit him the less time he has. All that Last Breath crap and i’M aNgRy So NoW I aM DeTeRmiNeD can bugger off. No phase one million and one. Just some simple last ditch effort that’s still pretty much in vain. I don’t know how quantum mechanics would let him do something like that but hey, I’m just spitballing here. The OG battle is all you need in my opinion
