I agree with Katie, but I'd honestly add that it was not only anti-climactic, it was just.......lazy. It would have been better for them to have taken more time and rebuilt the Dragon, but have a smoke/fog machine and freakin' projections or just a plain old lightbulb to replace the fire in the mouth.

It was clearly "puff the magic dragon". Disneyland really lacks staffing vs Walt Disney World to make a perfect fix to that part of the show. WDW utilizes many interns. I'm not sure many at Disneyland. They had to fix the whole sequences since the fire. It was more so a 7 out of 10. Katie and Spencer, try to hit Fantastmic on a weekday night, maybe Mid-June, after some of the summer crowds have died down. This was Memorial Day weekend where Disneyland is always packed. The intern program ended last Friday. So, its June 4-5th to restart it.

Good solution to cover any copyrighted content and how hard would it have been to do murphy as a projection? That was one big empty with just colorful sprays, I would have left about then, how disappointing.

Do you get seating at the River Belle terrace for viewing the show or is a separate designated area in front where your standing ? Is there anywhere you can sit to view the show ? And how early do you recommend to return to get a good spot ?

Love your dinner review!! I appreciate you being so nice, and I would say food don’t look good. It was mostly pasta and bread for deep fried fast food chicken for that price. So very much appreciated that you shared with us!

Some other things in the show that were missing: 1. Apparently the Peter Pan scene had an animatronic crocodile and it is NOT back here. I think it isn’t a priority for Disney though and the priority is still the dragon. 2. So the Aladin scene doesn’t have a flying carpet anymore. I think the lift for the carpet was damaged during the fire last year so that might be why. 3. The Evil Queen’s cauldron is also not there. Maybe it also got damaged during the fire? I think Disney is making a new dragon but fans can’t wait for the show so they just used the plan B at WDW instead. Though it would have been better with the Disneyland plan B though (the water screen dragon). But the pyro is very cool.

I was there Saturday night as well as Friday, and Saturday night was SOOOOOOOO much better for the crowds. Future shows won’t be anywhere near as chaotic as this was.

The new Fantasmic show is very good. I think it is the right time for Disneyland and Disney Parks to bring this show out because summer time is coming and big travel time for Disneyland.

This is my thought. They may have had a bigger plan in place, as they thought it would be no dragon forever, and were gonna do a bigger change to that section. Once they repaired the stage, and fixed all the infrastructure below, they must have gotten the okay / funding to create a new dragon, and pivoted back to a more regular b-mode, slightly plussed with vine projections and new pyro moments.

I very much agree about princess scene musical vocals. Too low and hip hop vibe to me. (Saw the entirety of it elsewhere). Needs the softer whimsical light hearted sound back. Very happy this show is bad. I enjoy it as I catch it walking by, but I admit I don’t do the crowds like that, well. Can’t do it. But I can see how the food/show ticket would be worth it👍🏻👍🏻

👎🏿 nope - not going to give Disney any more passes for reasons to not deliver! They had more than enough time to create an amazing ending. Instead they delivered a mediocre finale to save even more on money, and cut more cast members out of the show! This ending is a JOKE! 😡 🤮 No wonder why their reputation has gone to the 🚽 - As far as these KZfaqrs … they do a wonderful job. Thank you for filming the show. It helped me decide not to take a trip out to see the descent of the show phantasmic.

I think it was better without the dragon I saw it on someone else you tube channel to and they all said it better without the dragon I personally don't think it will come back look at Mr toads wild ride in Florida after that person got killed on the ride and the dragon caught fire they won't take that chance again even indiana Jones show in Florida sucks now they re did the whole show it will never be the same
