@@hoodiek6802 I don’t think that’s what he was talking about. The movie tells you the silver surfers basic role and how he’s galactus’ servant after he spared his planet. He’s talking about how powerful the silver surfer is in the comics, but it’s been interpreted in this film very poorly. Like he said, a being that can harness cosmic energy, someone that literally took away the hulks powers because he annoyed him was beaten by some humans.

I don't think Director Tim Story portrayed the Silver Surfer's Cosmic Powers accurately, example being that he draws his powers from the Board. A classic example of his many powers is that he can fire cosmic energy beams from his hands, along with other things!

Used to love the fantastic 4 comics when I was a kid. They never transitioned to film well but this is by far my favorite foursome

I love the f4 comics as well as a kid and now and these movies do have merit and do represent the 4 and their core family dynamic correctly. The cg was great for mid 2000s and all of them had fantastic arcs in the first movie. Their origin was depicted correctly with the exception of Doom's involvement. The actor was great and can definitely pull off the menacing, cold, and calculating Doom vibes but they just got his depiction wrong. Silver Surfer was great with the exception of implying that his powers come from his board. Didn't like how they handled Galactus or how they treated those storylines. But the actors were all great and they had the core dynamics, themes, and characterizations down and great arcs in the first movie. These movies do have merit even if it's not 100% faithful and will always have a special place in my heart along with the ps2 game which was also great and was a little more closer to the matieral.

I know people here are saying mere mortals can never stop the Surfer and I completely agree but then it hit me that this entire ambush was planned by Reed Richards, who’s one of the smartest entities in the Marvel universe so I guess it somewhat made sense in the end.

@@pageandpowers If it worked for Werewolf By Night, then I have faith for Silver Surfer, plus Marvel now has the rights of anything and anyone related to The Fantastic Four, surely they'll do it justice. At least it would be better than what we've seen in the early 2000's, right? Even if it's mid, let's hope they get his powers right and not just use the board as the catalyst of Silver's powers.

I am so not interested in watching any one-hour TV shows or special. Even if it's Silver Surfer. Seriously, I gave up TV like two decades ago. I'm not going back to that broadcast trash under any circumstance.
